LeBron James apparently, had no idea that Anthony Davis was being traded. Given how much influence supposedly the King has on the organization you’d think the trade would’ve had his blessings, but it was not so. He was surprised as he found out after the trade had been done, while he was having dinner with family and friends and had to take some time to “process” it. And once again Bron has been left in the dark about another trade.

After LeBron again made history on Thursday, surprising right? The 4x MVP just added another milestone to his insane career. He’s now both the youngest and oldest player in NBA history to drop 40 in a game. After the match, he was asked about what Mark Williams, who’ll be a Laker soon, brings to the table.

James seemed like he had almost forgotten about it. While still processing the move, James expressed his excitement about the young center’s potential.

“Um, sheesh, haven’t even had time to like, really, uh, wrap my head around it,” LeBron admitted. The now 21x All-Star explained he that Williams would another lob threat besides Jaxson Hayes. And then went to add, “I was surprised that we was able to get him to be completely honest, you know, just seeing his length. You see how young he at, he’s 23 years old,” he said. Right, it really looks like he no idea.

But the Lakers have done their homework with regards to this trade. Williams has suited up for just 84 of 212 possible games in his first two and a half seasons with the Hornets, playing only 39.6% of the time. That should scare away few teams but not the Lakers.

JJ Redick addressed the team’s confidence in his medical status. “In terms of the medical we have confidence in all the background work we did on the medical,” Redick explained. “Spoke with Dr. Watkins, who treated his back injury and [Dr] Leroy [Sims] and his staff.”

Williams had initially sought a second opinion from Dr. Robert Watkins, a renowned spine specialist, after the Hornets‘ medical team found no major issues in his back. The Lakers also relied on their own medical staff, led by Dr. Leroy Sims.

“Dr. Sims and his staff did their legwork and were confident that we can take care of him,” Redick added. “And help manage his body, and he’ll be on the court for us.” With the Lakers team confident looks like they’re not worried about the 23 year-old at all.

But it doesn’t look like LeBron needs help. He’s showing no signs of stopping even at 40.

LeBron James sets another record….again

LeBron James refuses to slow down. At 40, he’s still out here making history, dropping 42 points, 17 rebounds, and eight assists in the Lakers’ 120-112 win over the Warriors. With that performance, he joined Michael Jordan as the only players to score 40 at 40. And let’s be real—he made it look easy.

James wasn’t just piling up points; he was putting on a show. He nailed six of his nine threes, including a ridiculous stretch where he hit three in a row, capping it off with a logo shot. Vintage LeBron.

Meanwhile, both teams are adjusting to major changes. The Lakers, fresh off trading Anthony Davis for Luka Doncic, are still waiting for their new star to return from a calf strain. Reports say Doncic could make his Lakers debut Monday. The Warriors, on the other hand, just made a bold move by adding Jimmy Butler to help out Stephen Curry.

Curry did everything he could, dropping 37 points, but it wasn’t enough to take down the red-hot Lakers. Even without Davis, Los Angeles has now won four straight and climbed to fifth in the Western Conference with a 30-19 record. If James keeps playing like this, and the 5x All-Star settles in quickly, the Lakers might have something special brewing.
