His first game in the American League started with a bang in presence of a galaxy of stars.

Lionel Messi’s US arrival finally rested a long summer spell of rumors of his possible Saudi move. The World Cup winner refused to follow the footsteps of his rival Ronaldo and instead came over to play for MLS. His very first game ended up drawing exhilarating reactions from the likes of LeBron James and Patrick Mahomes.

It was all over the news that Lionel Messi had signed a deal with Inter Miami. Despite being offered huge amounts of money by Saudi soccer club Al-Hilal, Messi brought his talents to South Beach.

The 5’7 forward took the field around the 53rd minute of the game off the bench. And he scored his first goal in the 94th minute which ended up being the tiebreaker between the two teams.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James was amazed by Messi’s performance in his first game with Inter Miami. He went on to tweet, “Incredible”, which was followed by a goat emoji.

Even Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes went on to react on Twitter. Mahomes tweeted, “Wild man!”, which was followed by the goat emoji as well.

Apart from James and Mahomes, Patrick Beverley and New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson shared their excitement on Messi’s debut.

The former Barcelona star surely had NBA athletes excited as well.
