The League Cup lately witnessed a moment of history when Inter Miami took on Cruz Azul in a group stage encounter. The American advent of a soccer sensation made it a special game. Often considered the greatest football player of all time, Lionel Messi made his first appearance in Inter Miami colors. This historic moment brought out several celebrities to the field, including LeBron James.

The King along with several other celebrities came to witness “La Pulga” in action. The two were also seen sharing a moment before Messi took the field. LeBron James also recorded few of Messi’s moments on the court. However, it was footballer’s thank you note that caught the fans’ attention.

The all time leading scorer in the NBA has not only dominated the basketball court but has also amassed an incredible wealth over the years through his investments. He has also attended several high profile sporting events over the years in VIP stands as the billionaire he is. Similarly, when Lionel Messi was all set to grace the American soccer circuit, James was not willing to miss out. The game however, delivered every bit of thrill that the fans expected.

The game was hard fought till the very end but at the 94th minute, the fans witnessed what they had all been waiting for. “The Little Boy From Rosario” scored his first goal in the Inter Miami colors on a free kick in the most dramatic fashion. With this goal, he sealed the victory for his team, becoming a match-winner on his very first game. Messi’s debut was not short on historic moments. He had one such moment before the game even began.

Before the play, LeBron James and Lionel Messi were seen hugging it out. Their moment was captured and spread very quickly and soon, the fans were in a frenzy. Messi took to Instagram to thank The Chosen One for his kind gesture. However, this thank you note quickly grabbed the attention of fans, who took to Twitter to have their say about it.

Lionel Messi is a truly decorated soccer player. His achievements have made several fans consider him the greatest of all time. However, his greatest achievement by far, was winning the FIFA World Cup for his country, Argentina. The Argentine native has traveled across the world but one thing that the fans have always noticed about him is that the man from Rosario barely speaks English.

Even on Instagram, Messi has always posted and captioned his posts in Spanish. However, that changed when he put up a thank you note for The King. He captioned his Instagram story “Thanks a lot brother!!! It was really nice to see you!”, while sharing the image of the two embracing. This caught the attention of fans who immediately took to Twitter to react to this moment.

Some fans hailed James as the GOAT for making Messi speak in English.

Users also felt this was the greatest thing James has ever done.

Meanwhile, some users stated James was recruiting Messi to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Some fans also shared a hilarious video of comedian, Kevin Hart to suggest the contrary that James was talking to Messi in Spanish.
