Curry's playful jabs at Tatum—friendly rivalry or mind games before the next showdown?

“Proud daddy of the Boston Celtics.” That’s Stephen Curry’s go-to line every time he singlehandedly dismantles the Celtics. For the Golden State Warriors star, it’s almost a ritual—slipping on his signature purple shoes and dominating the 18-time NBA champs. On the court, Steph is ruthless, turning players like Jayson Tatum into easy targets. Yet, off the court, the Baby-Faced Assassin shows a different side. When those same players achieve something monumental, he’s the first to congratulate them. Talk about contrasts!

Stephen Curry has made a couple of trips to the White House, and it’s all thanks to his incredible achievements. First, he and the Dubs met President Obama after their 2015 win. Then, they met President Biden in 2022 after another glorious victory. Now, it’s JT and the Celtics’ turn! On Friday, Jaylen Brown and the team met President Joe Biden. They gifted him a special Celtics jersey. What a proud moment! The players, coaches, and staff were all smiles, beaming with pride in the photos.

Jayson Tatum shared a carousel of 9 photos from his first visit to the White House as an NBA champion. The first image shows Tatum in a sharp suit, proudly displaying his championship ring. Tatum sat on a red couch, with a portrait of Barack Obama behind him. Meanwhile, the 26-year-old forward captioned his ‘digital dump’ with: “Champs went to the White House,” followed by a trophy emoji. However, it was Stephen Curry whose comment stole some spotlight:

“Congrats bro”

Wait, what? Steph isn’t mocking his Celtics rivals? Shocking, right? But hey, he’s just soaking in the moment. After all, Curry’s lived it more than JT and the crew. But hold on, this camaraderie won’t last long. Once Boston faces off against San Francisco on the court again, it’s game on! And you can bet the Chef will cook up something special, just like always!
