The playful banter between Anthony Edwards and Stephen Curry has become an unexpected storyline in this season’s battle between the Warriors and Wolves. The two were nothing short of bros in Team USA, often bringing a smile to our faces with their wholesome interaction and lighthearted comments. But after Minnesota’s 107-90 win over the Dubs, ANT couldn’t resist stirring the pot, taunting Curry with a bit of trash talk.

“Stay with him. Stay with him, Jaden. Stay on his a** Jaden! Damn Curry! That’s what we want,” Edwards was heard shouting in a leaked transcribed video as the game intensified. Later, as Gary Payton II tried to stop ANT from getting his shot in and failed, the young gun directed his attention to the crowd.

“Yea! Yea! Take your a** home! Go home!” he screamed to the Bay Area fans. And right then, Steph passed by him and Edwards took the opportunity to shout “Yea!” in the 4x champ’s face, too.

Curry, for his part, responded, “Right back!” no doubt, referring to tonight’s rematch.

Now, this exchange is certainly not a budding rivalry or anything of the sort. But everybody following Anthony Edwards would know that the 23-year-old just cannot stop himself from getting into the skin when faced with the best in the game!

Furthermore, it highlights the competitiveness that defines both of these hoopsters. While not as loud or boisterous as our friendly neighborhood ANT, there is no denying Stephen Curry is just as competitive, dare I say more.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Anthony Edwards the new king of trash talk, or is Curry still the master?

Have an interesting take?

Ultimately, it was a moment that showcased the young guard’s fearless personality. But it’s not just all talk. The Wolves star has immense respect for the ‘Bay Area God,’ especially when it comes to his game.

Behind banter is “brotherhood”: Anthony Edwards seeks Steph Curry’s help

Despite the fiery trash-talk on the court, Edwards previously spoke about seeking guidance from the 10x All-Star. In fact, the two have shared moments of mutual respect off the court. Then again, ANT has nothing but the utmost respect for the greats of the sport. Coming back to our matter at hand, a reporter asked Steph about the Georgia alum reaching out to him for advice on his three-point shooting.

Curry’s response was candid and insightful, revealing the bond between the two. “Yeah, it’s a brotherhood, especially when you play with guys, get to know them, spend some time with them like I did this summer. I don’t want to give him too much of the knowledge, but you want to give back a little bit of the wisdom that you gained over the course of your career, and from the three-point line, he’s actually — he’s obviously figured it out this year… he’s evolved even more than he already has early in his career,” Steph pointed out appreciatively.

What’s clear here is that Edwards isn’t just a brash young player—he’s someone who knows how to seek out wisdom from the best in the game. And Stephen Curry, always willing to pass on knowledge, reflected fondly on the experience.

“I love when people ask me that type of question. It still keeps me sharp. It keeps me engaged on how I’m doing things. I learn some stuff too from the questions they ask. It’s a cool kind of position to be in,” the veteran in him said.

While the trash talk was no doubt savage, it’s important to recognize the deep layers of their relationship. As Anthony Edwards continues to develop his game, it’s likely these moments of learning will shape him into one of the most dynamic players in the NBA.
