Another LeBron James takeover. Are we even surprised anymore? It was just last night that LBJ boldly claimed, “Yeah, I plan on playing every game.” So, everyone knew he was going to be on the court tonight. But with Anthony Davis facing his ‘kryptonite’ Domantas Sabonis, the Lakers needed a special performance from their King to finally end AD’s yearly embarrassment. Well, he did exactly that by sparking a 21-0 run in the fourth quarter to keep the winning streak alive. And when Rui Hachimura did not feed the 22-season veteran’s hot hand, the fuming superstar gave his teammate an earful.
Amid the massive comeback run in the final period, Rui took a tough contested shot and missed, instead of passing the ball to a zoned-in King James. A leaked audio byte shows exactly how Bron responded to Hachimura’s bad decision-making during the timeout, “Swing that mo———-r to me! I just made 10 in a row. You gonna take a pull-up contested two? Swing, swing mo———-r!”

As expected, LeBron James was not happy that the ball didn’t come to him when he had already scored 16 of the first 21 Lakers points in the fourth without missing a single shot. But by the time Rui Hachimura made that mistake, the Kings had already suffered the damage at the hands of the King. Yes, they came close to making a comeback in the final minutes. But they ended up losing by 4 points.
Obviously, LeBron James was the star of the show as he finished with a 32-point triple-double. With that, AD also got his career’s first win over Domantas Sabonis, ending the dreaded ten-game losing streak.

As AD headed to the locker room after the game, the hooper addressed the Lakers’ incredible start to the season, “Minnesota, Phoenix, Sac. Tough way to start but we found a way to get it done.” Obviously, all 3 teams they’ve beaten are legitimate playoff contenders, and this is a huge confidence booster for the Purple and Gold franchise. Sure enough, Davis did not forget to credit the player of tonight’s game as he said, “LeBron Raymone James.”

Meanwhile, Magic Johnson was also thrilled after the big Lakers win on the same night that the Dodgers picked up their second straight win in the World Series- “My Dodgers and Lakers gave me another great night with their two victories! LeBron James put on a show tonight finishing with a triple-double – 32 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists with 16 points in the fourth quarter alone! And AD continued his MVP start to the season with his 31-point performance in the Lakers win over the Kings!” the hoops legend wrote. Well, if both franchises continue to play this way, then LA will be a city of Champions once again.
