“I’m not going to lie, I just don’t like him.” DeMar DeRozan made his feelings about Dillon Brooks clear after they got into a heated physical altercation last year. Well, they reignited their beef last night during Rockets vs Kings, as things got ugly between the two players once again, leading to a major penalty from the officials. And a leaked audio reveals the verbal back and forth that led to the eventual altercation.

As DeRozan backed down Dillon Brooks in the post, trying to muscle his way to the basket, he suddenly lost control of the ball—a result of Brooks’ aggressive defense.

Fired up after forcing the turnover, Brooks let him hear it, yelling, “All game!” Meanwhile, DeRozan wasn’t having it, walking back up the court frustrated and complaining to the officials about the no-call.

Then, things escalated. DeRozan pointed at Brooks, which immediately set him off. Without hesitation, Brooks stepped up to him and fired back, “The f— are you talking about?”

DeRozan seemingly responded, “Shut the f— up, p—- a—n—-!” Sure enough, this comment riled up Brooks and he gave a hard shove to Deebo. Before the situation escalated any further, their teammates stepped in and separated them. But DeRozan was still angry at the Rockets star and yelled repeatedly, “Push me again! Push me again!… Push me!”

The referee had seen enough and wasted no time handing out a double technical to both players. But in the end, DeMar DeRozan got the last laugh—his team walked away with a 10-point win on the Rockets’ home floor.

What’s your perspective on:

Is DeRozan justified in his anger, or is Brooks just getting under his skin effectively?

Have an interesting take?

Not only that, but Deebo led the way, finishing as the Kings’ top scorer with 21 points and six assists. Meanwhile, Dillon Brooks struggled all night, managing just 12 points on a rough 4-of-13 shooting.

While things cooled down on the court, the bad blood between DeRozan and Brooks isn’t going anywhere. This wasn’t their first heated exchange, and let’s be real—it probably won’t be their last either!

DeMar DeRozan and Dillon Brooks’ Actions have gotten them Ejected once before

During a regular-season game last year, when DeMar DeRozan was still with the Chicago Bulls, he found himself in an even bigger altercation with Dillon Brooks.

The incident kicked off when DeRozan intentionally ran into Jalen Green, sending him crashing to the floor. Seeing his teammate down in pain, Brooks didn’t hesitate—he stepped in to confront DeRozan, and things escalated fast.

Both players grabbed each other’s jerseys, talking trash as tensions boiled over. Then, as teammates and staff rushed in to break things up, Brooks lost his balance and hit the floor, dragging a few others down with him.

It was pure chaos, and yet another chapter in the growing rivalry between these two fiery competitors.

Sure enough, both DeMar DeRozan and Dillon Brooks were ejected for their actions, adding yet another layer to their growing feud.

Later, addressing the heated altercation on a podcast, DeRozan didn’t hold back, saying, “Don’t walk up behind me, that’s rule number one, don’t walk up on no man behind him when his back’s turned.”

At this point, it’s crystal clear—these two do not like each other. And honestly? It wouldn’t be shocking at all if they clashed again the next time they meet on the court.
