The Suns’ front office is busy making moves behind the scenes. The latest one was trading their 2031 unprotected first to the Jazz in exchange for three first-round picks. Maybe a step toward getting Jimmy Butler to Phoenix. But while their trade pursuit continues, there is still a job to be done on the court. And the Suns will face the Nets tonight, hoping to shake off Monday’s blowout loss against the Cavs. Unfortunately, they might have to face that challenge without Bradley Beal!

Yes, Beal is questionable to suit up. The reason? An ankle sprain that he suffered during last week’s Hawks encounter. Well, he was forced to miss the following two games because of the injury but returned to the lineup on Monday against Donovan Mitchell and Co. However, he was not too productive and finished with only 5 points and four assists. It looks like his ankle might have been bothering him, which is why he could sit out once again tonight.

Obviously, that would be a major blow to the team because Beal has been in decent form when healthy, averaging 17.1 points. And his coming off the bench has given the Suns solid depth. Adding to the concerns, the Phoenix franchise will also miss big man Jusuf Nurkić as he is under return to play conditioning.

Well, he has been unavailable for the last seven games with an illness and he might not get much playing time even after his return. That’s because he was recently demoted to a bench role like Beal, and Mike Budenholzer has given his starting spot to Nick Richards, following his trade from Charlotte last week. Sure enough, Richards and Mason Plumlee will make up for Nurkic’s absence against D’Angelo Russell and Co.

Well, Bradley will likely continue to come off the bench if he suits up. While that is not the role he prefers, coach Budenholzer made that tough call earlier this month. Beal even addressed it in a presser, “Coach made a decision. I’m not going to sit there and argue with him.”

While their opponents have only two injured stars, the Brooklyn franchise’s injury report is far more concerning. As per last night’s Knicks clash, Ben Simmons could miss his third straight game due to an illness. Cam Thomas and Trendon Watford also sat out yesterday with hamstring issues, and that could be the case tonight.

Joining them on the sidelines were Bojan Bogdanovic and Ziaire Williams, who are dealing with foot injury. And Maxwell Lewis remains out with a fractured left tibia. That means the Nets could be extremely shorthanded once again.

Well, both teams have faced each other once before this season and surprisingly, the Nets won that game with Dennis Schroder going off for 29 points. However, Schroder is no longer a part of the roster and tonight could be Kevin Durant and Co.’s chance to get redemption. Do you think they can do it despite Beal’s uncertainty?
