The Philadelphia 76ers are all set to host the Los Angeles Lakers at the Wells Fargo Center tonight. The Sixers, who were the top seed in the Eastern Conference tables earlier in the season, lost their position a while back. With 11 wins in 16 matches, they comfortably sit at 4th now.

The Lakers, on the other hand, are in the seventh position in the Western Conference table with 10 wins in 17 matches. Before they face each other, let us look at the possible lineups for both squads.

The Lakers can start with their usual, LeBron James (PF), Taurean Prince (SF), and Anthony Davis coming in as center. D’Angelo Russell and Max Christie will start as (PG) and (SG) respectively. Later in the game, we’ll likely have Austin Reaves take Christie’s place. Christian Wood can also come in at a later point. Rui Hachimura, however, is ruled out, so, there is a slight misbalance there if anyone gets injured.

The 76ers will come up with an undoubtedly more dynamic squad. Even though they lost their last match against the OKC Thunder, they will probably keep their squad unchanged. Tobias Harris (PF) and Nicolas Batum (SF) to be assisted by Joel Embiid in the center. Tyrese Maxey De’Anthony Melton to come as (PG) and (SG). The average age of the Sixers side is less than that of the Lakers, which gives them a first-hand advantage. However, it should be noted that the Lakers come with experienced match-winners like Bron and AD.

What can be the possible outcome of the match?

Joel Embiid is running riot in the league. With his current form, he is surely eyeing the MVP award like last season. Two consecutive MVPs would be some feat though! There is a strange rhythm in this Sixers squad. Many believe that the departure of James Harden did the trick. It would be interesting to watch how they strategize against the Lakers.

The Lakers should be careful, especially with Bron and AD. On their days, they can win matches single-handedly. But injuries can bother them like they have recently. LeBron, who is in his 21st season, seems more fit than AD. Be that as it may, Los Angeles will be looking for a win, with their two superstars taking on the reins. Who do you think will come out on top?
