The LakeShow are all set to complete their road stretch on a high note. Days after two consecutive blowout losses, the Los Angeles Lakers changed the mood of the franchise within two games. The rumors about the LA team’s trade and coach replacement took over the NBA world over the two weeks. Now, the mood seemed to have lightened up, according to Juvan Buha, the Lakers insider.
Last night, the LA traveled to the ‘Big Apple’ city and clipped their 9-game winning streak. Following the game, the Lakers trade frenzy has come down to a halt, said Buha. The Athletic reporter wrote, “The mood in the Lakers’ locker room on Saturday night, particularly with [LeBron] James, was lighter than it had been earlier in the week.” However, the trade question still stands tall.
The 4x NBA Champion LeBron James definitely wasn’t happy with the team’s effort a few days ago. He stirred up the hoops community with his cryptic social media posts, which sparked conversations about trades, especially after he dropped an ‘Hour Glass Clock’ emoji on his X handle.

One section of fans debated that the team would look to fast-track the trade. On the other hand, some fans felt that the management would fire coach Darvin Ham. The coach faced a lot of criticism for his player rotation in both blow-out loss games.
Some fans even went a step further and speculated that the King James would trade himself out before the deadline. Notably, this speculation blew out of proportion when James dropped another cryptic post with an apple and crown emoji. However, it was soon crushed down when James’ agent Rich Paul clarified that the superstar wasn’t interested in leaving the Lakers.

The 9th-seeding Lakers went on to defeat two lethal teams of the East in back-to-back games. They have another game left on their road, which is against the Charlotte Hornets. If they win that, they would end their current road with a massive success.
Speaking of the Purple and Gold team’s success, Buha said, “Winning helps. But sometimes, airing things out helps, too. James made it clear where he stands. The ball is now in the Lakers’ court, to a large extent, with Thursday’s trade deadline looming.”
With only a few days left before the deadline, the only question which currently stands is, will the management pull the trigger? Only time will tell.
