The much-awaited Pascal Siakam trade went underway, and Bruce Brown Jr. found his new home with the Toronto Raptors. While Siakam found his spot with the Indiana Pacers, Brown Jr. hasn’t had a stable home ever since his rookie season. In his six-season-long career, the 27-year-old has already played for five franchises. And, it isn’t going to stop, as per the recent reports of Adrian Wojnarowski.

With less than a month to go before the trade deadline, the franchises gear up to find the missing pieces. These trades won’t just help the team qualify for the post-season but also reconstruct the team. And one such piece is Brown. Even though he had been jumping from franchise to franchise, two powerhouses seemed keen on roping in the youngster for a long time.

After completing the championship-winning season with the Denver Nuggets, Bruce Brown Jr. was on the steal list for the majority of the franchises. But it was the Pacers who took home the prize. The star guard produced a decent average of  12 points with a close to 50% FG in his brief stay with Haliburton & Co.

After just playing 33 games for the Pacers, the team traded him to the Raptors for Siakam. Days after his trade to the north, he got again dragged into the trade market, as the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks, along with other franchises, have shown interest in him.

Notably, Brown was one of the players whom the Lakers were adamant to rope in the off-season. But they settled for Gabe Vincent. Evan Sidery of Forbes Sports highlighted that the LA side would have traded him if Brown hadn’t signed with the Pacers during his free agency.

Now recent reports suggest that the Lakers and the New York Knicks could be at the forefront to nab Brown if he is available for another trade.

The Lakers have suffered enough with injuries during this season. Will Bruce Brown fit the missing piece of the Lakers’ roster? Only time will tell.

The Lakers land in similar trouble

In the last season, Anthony Davis and LeBron James missed a considerable amount of games, due to injuries. The team reached a point where it was considered curtains for the post-season hopes. But, the team turned it around after the trade deadline.

Similarly, in this season, it wasn’t AD or James; it was the supporting crew, who were constantly warming the bench with injuries. Especially, Gabe Vincent and Rui Hachimura missed a pack of games.

Nevertheless, the Lakers would like to turn it around in a similar fashion this season.
