The Los Angeles Lakers suffered a blowout loss at the hands of the Houston Rockets in their last game. Given that the Rockets played efficiently, the game was a one-sided show. But one reason why the Lakers struggled throughout the game was due to the absence of their eight-time All-Star, Anthony Davis.
The Lakers will be facing off against the Phoenix Suns in their matchup tonight. So, the question that arises is, will Anthony Davis be suiting up for the purple and gold to answer the team’s growing concerns?

The absence of Anthony Davis caused the Houston Rockets to humiliate the Lakers throughout four quarters. His defensive presence was missed thoroughly, and the Rockets made the most of it.
Now, with the Lakers on a three-game losing streak, one can only wonder if Davis will be coming back to the lineup or not. According to Sports Illustrated, Davis is still questionable against the Suns.
Davis was ruled out due to an adductor in his hip for Friday’s game against Phoenix. So, by the reports so far, it does not look like the Lakers will have all their All-Stars on the floor to face off against the Suns’ big three.
Davis has been averaging 23.9 PPG, 12.0 RPG, and 3.3 BPG on a 62.8 true shooting percentage. So, his production on both ends of the floor will be missed by the Lakers as they face off against Kevin Durant and the Suns.
The Suns vs Lakers matchup
The Phoenix Suns have won their last two games, looking to make it three. So, it is clear that the Suns will come up shooting to create a huge deficit against the Lakers to get an advantage early on.

The absence of Anthony Davis will give the Suns enough opportunities to drive inside the paint and also grab offensive rebounds. As for the Lakers offense, the responsibility will fall upon LeBron James, Austin Reaves, D’Angelo Russell, and the rest of the squad.
One sigh of relief for the Lakers will be no Devin Booker in the Suns lineup for their game. Booker too has been ruled out for the Lakers game due to a strain in his right calf. So, both teams will be missing out on crucial players from their lineup.
