The NBA World is ready for the battle of LA. The Los Angeles Lakers will go head-to-head against the Los Angeles Clippers tomorrow. This will be their third meeting of the season, with the Lakers coming out on top in the previous two encounters. However, Kawhi Leonard and Co. have a great chance to one-up the Lakers, as LeBron James will not suit up for tomorrow’s clash.

According to the Lakers injury report, LeBron James has been ruled out for tomorrow’s game due to left ankle peroneal tendinopathy. It is an inflammation in the ankle that causes pain with dynamic activities like running and jumping. LeBron has been dealing with this injury for the past few weeks, as he was also listed as questionable for some of the previous Lakers games due to the same issue. The injury finally seems to have taken a toll on the 39-year-old after weeks of playing through it.

That is a massive blow for the Lakers as they are finally starting to regain some momentum. The Lakers have won 3 of their last 4 games with the help of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and D’Angelo Russell. With LeBron out of the lineup, head coach Darvin Ham will have to come up with a new plan against the in-form Clippers. LeBron has been playing great all season, averaging 24.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 7.4 assists. He was huge in the last game against the Trail Blazers and scored 28 points in the Lakers’ win.

Apart from LeBron, Anthony Davis and Jarred Vanderbilt are also on the Lakers’ injury report. AD is dealing with a bilateral Achilles tendinopathy, and Vando is suffering from left heel bursitis. Their status is probable for tomorrow, and there is a chance they might miss the game, just like King James. This might be Kawhi Leonard and Co.’s best chance to defeat the Lakers. The Clippers have been playing at an elite level following their early season struggles. They are currently 4th in the Western Conference standings with a 27-14 record.
