The Los Angeles Lakers snatched victory from the jaws of the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday despite an injured lineup. However, they are going to face a tougher test tonight. The Lakers will face the reigning MVP Joel Embiid‘s Philadelphia 76ers at Wells Fargo Center. Continuing their winning performance from the Cavaliers match-off would be tougher for LA as injuries weigh heavier this time.

The war between the Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers is a war between rock-solid defense and piercing offense. However, much to the dismay of their fans, the backbone of the Lakers’ defense Anthony Davis could be out.

Fans are eagerly waiting for the Monday encounter, but injuries have somewhat dampened the electricity in the atmosphere. Anthony Davis has been put under the ‘Probable’ category due to left abductor and hip spasms. The absence of Davis from the match will certainly make the defense of the Los Angeles Lakers porous. It will be easier for the Embiid’s men to unleash their typical aggression.

Veteran LeBron James, who has also been battling with injuries is questionable for the game. Similarly, 24-year-old shooting guard Cam Reddish is questionable for the match-up due to a strained left groin. Rui Hachimura didn’t participate in the Saturday match-up due to a broken nose. He underwent a minor facial surgery as well.

Jared Vanderbilt has been absent this season and won’t face the 76ers due to left heel bursitis. Gabe Vincent too hasn’t stepped on the basketball court since October 30 due to left knee contusion. However, there is good news for him as the Lakers announced that he is progressing well and will be re-evaluated in two weeks. With a long list of injuries troubling the Lakers, the Philadelphia 76ers too have their own list of woes.
