Draymond Green revealed his NBA curse. Even though he doesn’t generate the majority points for the Dubs, he has always been the central character. The 33-year-old directs the traffic for the team and orchestrates the perfect pass for the Splash Brothers. However, it would be surprising to know if this wasn’t Green’s actual play. What if I tell you DrayMagic was much of a scorer? Yes, you read it right. The 4x NBA Champion recently revealed that an NBA curse has turned him into the player which he is today.
Sitting alongside NBA legend Carmelo Anthony in a recent podcast episode of 7PM in Brooklyn, Green opened up about the shift in his career. Curious Melo asked the Dubs star about the players whom he grew up watching. While we expect to drop the names of the legends, he opened up about his “Death sentence“. Green said, “It was a label and it was called a tweener when I came out… being labeled a tweener was a death sentence.”
Immeditely, Anthony acknowledged the Dubs star’s words and went on to explain the word. He explained the word ‘Tweener’, saying, “Undersized. You don’t have a position on the floor, they don’t know where to play you at.” Following that, Green went on to speak about how it changed his game.
