The star-studded Clippers have been struggling to find proper footing. Having just acquired James Harden, others on the squad are finally beginning to adjust to his presence. The Clippers had been going through a long slump, until they recently steadied the ship with a three-game winning streak. They, nevertheless, managed to pull themselves up with a mighty 107-88 victory over the Mavs. Amidst the rollercoaster ride, James Harden has been dealing with his own woes. One of them is that he feels that his defensive contributions in the games are being overlooked.

James Harden has always been an offensively dominating force. On the defensive front, however, his name rarely pops up. But it seems like he is trying to change that narrative. He says in the locker-room interview, “A lot of parts of my game get overlooked but just tryna be in the right spots and communicating and be effective as I can defensively.”

He adds that his main focus right now is on the defense, “We got guys that can score the basketball, so it takes a lot of pressure off me offensively.” Further, it looks like Harden is trying to build team chemistry and communication on the court. He adds that he is actively communicating with the coaches and ensuring he gets better.
