The NY Knicks run through turbulent times as they look to build on their winning streak. Standing in the 4th seed of the Eastern Conference, the Big Apple side is one mistake away from slipping down to the 8th side. On the other hand, the struggling Washington Wizards are looking for a break-out win to kick-start their campaign to a winning elevation. Importantly, The District side may have a chance, looking at Karl-Anthony Towns’ uncertainty in tonight’s game.
On Friday, Kat missed his first game of the season against the Brooklyn Nets with a knee contusion. The star stood on the sidelines with his birthday attire on and witnessed Jalen Brunson steal the game with a clutch bucket. However, he recovered for the next game which was again played against the Nets on Sunday. Unfortunately, the star seemed to have injured himself again.
During the second half, Karl-Anthony Towns had a nasty fall to the floor, leaving him in grueling pain. Moreover, Coach Thibs didn’t play him for the last 7:20 minutes. Even though Coach Thibs stated it was a strategic decision, Towns’ painful stay on the floor raises eyebrows. Above all, Towns gave a vague response to his availability for tonight’s game, saying, “That’s always the plan: To play.” So, we aren’t entirely sure about the big man’s availability tomorrow. Apart from that, there isn’t an update on Miles McBride’s illness, as he continues to stay in the Questionable category.

On the other hand, the Wizards have a new entrant in the injury report alongside Sadiq Bey, who has been out since October with a knee injury. Last night, forward player Bilal Coulibaly exited the floor in the third quarter and didn’t return for the remainder of the game, citing a knee injury. The team has currently listed him in the Questionable category. Let’s find out how the adjusted starting lineup and depth chart look for both sides.
Knicks vs Wizards: Starting lineup and depth chart
In the last game, three of the Knicks players played more than 40 minutes, while Coach Thibs used only 3 players from the bench. This directly showed how volatile the NY’s side depth was. So, any starter’s absence would gravely affect the team. With both Mitchell Robinson and Karl-Anthony Towns, the Knicks have a weak frontcourt.
