Can Jalen Brunson lead the Knicks to a championship this season, or is it just wishful thinking?

A new NBA season is right around the corner and fans cannot wait to know what the New York Knicks have in store for them. With the Villanova boys reuniting after the blockbuster addition of Mikal Bridges, and Julius Randle’s expected return from injury, the team has a lot to look forward to this year. Well, you won’t have to wait too long to find out what Jalen Brunson and Co. have planned for next season as the schedule for their annual Media Day is out.

While the Celtics have already addressed the media and the Nuggets are set to do the same in a couple of days, the Knicks’ schedule is like most of the teams in the league. Yes, the New York-based franchise will hold Media Day on September 30. But their day will start earlier than most teams, at 11 a.m. ET. And about the designated venue, the event will take place at the Knicks Practice Facility.

With team photos and activities scheduled, the entire roster, including Jalen Brunson, and head coach Tom Thibodeau are likely to be present. Well, Coach Thibs recently revealed his plan of occasionally playing Julius Randle as a Center to make up for the departure of Isaiah Hartenstein. So, you can expect to hear a lot of questions about his planned rotation and further details about his strategy.

Meanwhile, Jalen Brunson recently sacrificed a whopping $113 million and solidified his future with the team by inking a four-year $156.5 million extension. There is also a lot of intrigue behind the decision and his expectations for next season. Sure enough, these details will be discussed six days from now. And if you are hoping to tune in, be on the lookout for the team’s social media handles as they have live-streamed the entire press conference on its YouTube channel in previous years.

New York Knicks training camp and preseason schedule

Well, once the team is done addressing the media, they will get to work only a day later as training camp begins on the first day of October. They have chosen a special venue for the occasion as the team will be returning to Charleston, South Carolina, for the camp.

Sure enough, this location brings back all kinds of memories for the franchise as they used to conduct camps there in the ’90s. And it was Tom Thibodeau’s idea to take a trip down the memory lane. So, Jalen Brunson and Co. will spend 3 days practicing at The Citadel Military College’s McAlister Field House. And on October 6, they will play their first preseason game against the Hornets. Over two weeks, they will play 4 more games with the final one against the Wizards. Here’s their entire preseason schedule:
