Kevin Durant's Commanders game birthday—does this show his true leadership off the court?

The Phoenix Suns better win the ring in the upcoming season, as Slim Reaper blows the candles on his 36th birthday! However, leaving the Valley side’s concerning situation aside, the team’s superstar Kevin Durant had a wholesome birthday. Thanks to his buddies, if we can call them that, as one of them includes the legendary NBA player, Magic Johnson. The LA Lakers legend, alongside a few others, accompanied the Washington D.C. native for a joyful NFL experience. Not to forget Devin Booker’s stylish showcase.

The 2x NBA Champion is all set to enter his 17th NBA season in a few weeks. Before that, the star power forward, as always, celebrated his birthday. Usually, around this time, KD would be grinding at the training camp. Speaking at the Nets’ camp on his 34th birthday, he said, “It’s good being in a team environment and having some fun going through training camp.” However, this time, the superstar pulled up at the Week 4 NFL match-up between the Washington Commanders and Arizona Cardinals, along with the Commanders’ primary owner Josh Harris, and a few others.

As a District native, we all know whom Kevin Durant rooted for in today’s game. And, in fact, after the game, he wrote on his X, saying, “Came to AZ and turnt that heat up @Commanders Great road win fellas.”

Importantly, a video surfaced on Threads showcased KD fist-bumping Magic after cutting his birthday cake in a closed place along with friends and family. In addition, the legend also penned a wholesome birthday note on his X handle, saying, “Happy birthday to Kevin Durant! KD is one of my favorite players… He’s one of the best athlete entrepreneurs out there.” Well, it wasn’t just Magic, who made KD’s day, but also his star teammate Devin Booker. The star guard shared a stylish picture of Durant, seated on a chair and checking his phone, with dark shades on.

Kevin Durant, joined the Commanders’ ownership group, to witness the team’s third consecutive win of the season. Truly a joyful moment for the fans. And it became a double treat with Slim Reaper’s birthday today. Magic Johnson, the team’s minority owner, shared the picture of the squad, triggering wholesome reactions from fans.

Happy blessed birthday @KDTrey5 !!! I hope your birthday is as special as you are!!!” a fan wrote under Johnson’s post. It wasn’t just them. A major chunk of reactions flooded the comments with heartfelt wishes. Amid this abundant love, a fan tried to relate with the Slim Reaper, writing, “And a big @Commanders fan Ike yours truly. Salute to you both, Legend.” KD has been a Commanders’ fan forever, making his presence at the team’s facility multiple, showing his support.

Another fan proved that they are a loyal Commanders fan, “KD must have enjoyed and appreciated the game like most of long-suffering fans.” The WC fans indeed had a tough time in the past, after their repeated failures and struggles at the bottom of the table. And, they see a ray of hope with three consecutive wins. At the same time, the Suns head into the fresh season after a poor outing in the previous season. The superstar will expect a similar comeback with his side as well.
