Although the trade season is off the hook now and everyone is focused on the Olympic campaign for the dream team in basketball, the same cannot be said for Kevin Durant. The Suns forward was rumbled with questions regarding his trade after the rumored locker-room confusion. However, the situation has changed, the Suns have got a new coach in the form of Mike Budenholzer, and even Durant himself brushed aside all the trade rumors. Still, the questions are focused on Durant’s happiness in the Arizona-based team.
The same question was thrown at KD but with a different formation on ‘Up & Adams Show’ hosted by Kay Adams. This time, the question was if Durant was happy in Phoenix. Durant being the goofy and humorous athlete answered the question in his usual style, “Yeah, I’m happy to be alive, you know? See I can’t complain anybody about nothing.”
The answer seemed like a funny one but it did not convey the plain-face goofiness from Durant as he further added, “You know Phoenix, it was a different transition, tough transition, moving from New York’s fast-paced city lifestyle to slow down the pace in Phoenix.” It felt like Durant was missing the Brooklyn Nets‘ fast-paced life but he tried to balance his statement as much as possible on the public media.

Although the further Durant moved with his update, it almost seemed like he focused more on basketball rather than bonding with the city and its vibes. “I feel like got my rhythm. My way through the season. And then you know getting come through basketball. You can figure that out but just everyday lifestyle, I feel comfortable with Phoenix now,” Durant confessed how he found his way through the new city ultimately.
Even here Durant seemed hesitant about how he honestly felt at the Phoenix in the initial stage of the trade. It has been almost two years since KD’s entry into the Suns and the forward seems to have found his peace now. It is worth noting that Durant has still got two seasons left on his four-year, $194.2 million contract.
Kevin Durant not being cryptic about his height controversy
What’s your perspective on:
Is Kevin Durant already regretting his move to the Suns, or is this just media hype?
Have an interesting take?
Durant was certainly somewhat vague in his description of his happiness at the Suns. However, it did not feel the same for the height controversy that emerged after USA Basketball revealed a little snippet of the photo shoot of the USA men’s basketball team. Since then, there have been various debates among NBA fans that either KD or Joel Embiid is lying about his height. It was worth noting that Embiid almost looked equal to the Sixers star in the photoshoot. The only thing that was making a difference for Embiid was his hair.
Kay Adams addressed this during her interview when she asked Durant about his actual height and the controversy about it. “I guess those guys might be shorter than what they’re with their numbers say. I’m 6’9″ though. It looks like Bam Adebayo is probably 6’8″ instead of 6’10”. …Embiid is not seven feet.” Durant honestly replied to the ‘Up & Adams Show’ host.

No doubt it is one of the biggest revelations for the NBA community. However, it is not new since Bronny James was also found shorter than his college height when he came to the Draft Combine. Ultimately, the heights might just be the numbers to scare off the opponents. What do you all think? Was Kevin Durant speaking facts or just goofing around? Comment down your thoughts.
