No one hilariously embarrasses you in public better than your parents! This was true growing up and also holds true as an adult. However, you’d expect that as one of the greatest scorers ever in the NBA, you’d be spared that fate. Sadly, though, for Kevin Durant, his mom, Wanda, spilled the beans on an embarrassing secret.

A lot of the players’ family and friends came out during this year’s All-Star Week to support them. And Wanda Durant was one such person. As TV personality, Demetria Obilor, went around asking NBA moms one thing people didn’t know about their sons, Wanda had the most hilarious response. “But the one thing that people don’t know about Kevin is that Kevin can clean a bathroom,” she said, prompting Demetria to burst into laughter.

“But he will probably be like, ‘Mom!’” she added, implying Kevin wouldn’t be happy with her sharing this embarrassing detail about him. It’s not hard to see why. Obilor then asked Wanda if it’d be okay if they put the clip on social media. And Wanda reassured her, “Well, Mama told it!”. We imagine KD won’t love seeing this clip plastered all across social media.

Other moms of NBA players also spilled some things we didn’t know about their sons. For instance, Jalen Brunson’s mom revealed that he’s a huge Dragon Ball Z and Goku fan. While Malik Beasley’s mom let us fans know that he’s an actor at heart and had his first audition aged only 6. However, none of what they shared comes close to the tea Wanda spilled.

She’ll probably be getting a few annoyed calls after this one from KD. But we’d wager that he’s probably in a great mood after winning the All-Star within Shaq’s team. Even more so after the way the Bay Area greeted him.

Kevin Durant loved the reception he got from the Golden State Warriors fans during the 2025 NBA All-Star Week

It’s no secret that Kevin Durant used to play for the Golden State Warriors. A 2x champion with them, Dubs fans love KD even though it’s been nearly 5 years since he left the Bay Area. And this love was apparent during this year’s All-Star Game and KD loved every bit of it.

Kevin said, “I always feel the love from the fans in the Bay Area. I never thought for a second that I ain’t get no love out here. I heard people saying that I might not have felt that love.” “But everywhere I go, all over the world, the country, there’s Warriors fans. And they show me love,” said Kevin Durant about the way Warriors fans treat him.

Durant’s return must have brought a lot of nostalgia and emotions within Dubs fans. After all, this was the man who helped Steph Curry to repeat and win his second consecutive NBA title. The chance that the rumors around Durant vetoing a return to the Dubs spoiling his homecoming always lingered. However, it seems the Warriors fans’ love and gratitude towards Durant stretches beyond such petty grievances.

All in all, it was just nice to see rumors, history, and narratives cast aside and fans just appreciating a player that gave them so much joy in the past. That said, fans were still able to relive the past as they got to see Steph and KD combine to win yet another trophy. This time it was the NBA All-Star trophy. And even as the winner of the All-Star game, KD couldn’t help that his mom, like most parents, embarrassed him publicly with her hilarious story!
