In aid to enhance living conditions and offer vital resources for a successful return to society, the twenty-eight-year-old is actively partnering with programs rooted in Flint. To kick-start his collaboration, Kuzma, alongside his mother Karri, pleasantly surprised the people at the Genesee County Jail in Michigan on Sunday.

Taking the stage, Kyle Kuzma delivered a heartfelt commencement speech to inaugurate his venture. Furthermore, Kuzma also presented gifts and a curated selection of clothing as a symbolic gesture; aiming to provide practical support for their step back into the community.

Having grown up in the area, Kuzma paints Flint as a tough place with a tightly-knit community. He reflects on facing “temptations” due to poverty during his youth. However, he asserts that his passion for basketball made navigating these challenges relatively easy.
