Kevin Durant faced the fans’ wrath again, days after his playoff humiliation. The Suns had an embarrassing 0-4 exit in the first round at the hands of the Timberwolves. KD took the majority of the blows as Anthony Edwards rubbed it on his face throughout the series. However, several weeks after the embarrassment, the Slim Reaper again found himself in the firing line, as fans gathered again to troll him. This time, it’s for his unusual dance move.

A video of Durant, shaking his legs at a club, went viral within hours. It is possible to interpret it as an athlete enjoying his offseason. But the fans weren’t having it. In the comments, they focussed on the moves that the superstar pulled off on the floor. While it seemed like he was dancing, Durant was funnily mimicking his jumper amidst the loud environment in style. A user wrote, “This man don’t know how to dance, so he practices his jumper, if this ain’t the most pure hooper I ever seen , idk wht is.”

This isn’t the first time Kevin Durant has gathered attention for his moves. During the 2023 off-season, the superstar went viral for a similar reason. Durant can do anything, but he can’t get away from the fans after dancing! Well, it’s clear he is no Michael Jackson. Last year, KD again shook his leg at a wedding alongside his friend, as the crowd watched him groove, surrounding him. Nevertheless, he won’t be forgotten for his dance inside the locker room tunnel, as he entered the court for the Finals in the Warriors thread.

As much as fans love Kevin Durant has garnered, he has also received their hate at the same time. Especially after his trade decision to leave the OKC Thunder and join the Warriors. Since then, some sections of the fanbase have been behind him to troll, no matter what he does. And, unfortunately, KD served them with suitable content with his latest attempt on the dance floor.

A fan, looking at the video, didn’t hesitate to write, “LMFAOOO YO HE GOTTA STOP IT.” Followed by multiple comments, calling him “drunk”. Another fan wrote, “Kd so drunk, he think he’s in the finals.” The Last time KD entered the Finals was in 2019, during his stint with the Warriors. Since then, he has changed two sides and hasn’t really seen any success on the floor.

Building on that, another fan wrote, “Bro eyeing that Dallas contract.” Fans built a perception that Durant chases rings and jumps on the stronger teams every next season. A user further stated it, writing, “Did he request his trade to the Celtics yet?!” 

However, on the other end, some section of fans still adore him despite the social media noise. One fan wrote, “Hoop really is his life. I respect it.” Over the years, KD’s single image and his love for his mom built another perception, which is he knows nothing apart from basketball and his family. He even dedicated his MVP honor to his mother, saying, “When you didn’t eat, you made sure we ate. You went to sleep hungry. You sacrificed for us. You’re the real MVP,” during his 2014 MVP acceptance speech.
