Kawhi Leonard seems to be in no mood to back off from delivering back-to-back incredible performances for the Los Angeles Clippers. He got his buddy Paul Goerge back on the hardwood as the Los Angeles Clippers went on to script mayhem for the New York Knicks. Clippers won the match with an impressive 144-122 on the scoreboard. It is the 17th straight win for the Clippers. And after the game, Kawhi laid bare his aspirations beyond the on-court statistics.
James Harden who passed the 25000 point mark in a game against the Golden State Warriors tried to contribute mainly through assists. He scored 10 points and 12 assists. But Kawhi along with Paul George returning after injury proved to be the cutting sword of the Clippers. But after the game, Kawhi gave a glimpse of how he wants the cutting-edge sword of his performance to strike deeper.

Kawhi scored 36 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists as his teammate Paul George, returning from injury, piled up 25 points, 4 rebounds, and 7 assists. Leonard has been phenomenal for the Clippers. In the last ten games, Leonard’s statistics speak louder than words.
His numbers speak how incredible he has been with 29.4 PPG, 6.6 RPG, 3.7 APG, 59.1% FG, 57.4% 3FG, and 91.2% FT. He has stayed fit too this season. When asked about if this was the best stretch of his career. Leonard had something interesting to say in style. He said, “If you wanna put it in numbers-wise. But I’m focused on something bigger than this stretch.”

Kawhi’s game buttressed the Clippers’ offensive from the start. The Knicks tried to maintain the first-quarter lead. But the Clippers soon bounced back to curtail any attempts of the Knicks to come back in the game. They dominated the second, third, and fourth quarters of the game. Kawhi will try to stay consistent as the Clippers have a yet again busy week.
Kawhi and the road ahead
Los Angeles Clippers stood on a six-game losing streak earlier. They now have been successful in crafting a seven-game winning streak. If this phenomenal bouncing back is an art, Kawhi is the artist. He averages 23.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 34.7 minutes per game this season. When it comes to staying fit for the game, it is the 26th consecutive match of the star. Earlier in 2019, too he stayed fit to play 24 consecutive season games.
Clippers will face Indiana Pacers, Dallas Mavericks, Oklohama City Thunder and Boston Celtics in the next week. As Paul George paired perfectly with him again the two will be hopeful to repeat their last 23 games stretch they played together.
