Can love truly help heal the deepest wounds? Karl-Anthony Towns' story with Jordyn Woods says it can.

Karl-Anthony Towns‘ love story with Jordyn Woods seems like a page straight out of a romantic Hollywood movie. The one where both start as friends and, after losing a piece of themselves, crawl back to each other for the comfort they crave. Their friendship took a different turn gradually when he realized the support she gave him at his lowest.

In an exclusive interview with Extra, Woods said, “Naturally, we both connected about losing a parent at a very young age … so it was a very organic relationship that we’d been best friends for a while.” The COVID-19 pandemic was harsh on KAT. He lost eight family members, including his mother, Jacqueline Cruz. Getting over the painful demise of his mum (April 2020) was really hard for the Dominican. But Woods made sure to stay beside him when his world turned over. Something that still makes KAT emotional.

During the latest episode of the Club Shay Shay podcast, Shannon Sharpe asked the 7-footer whether their bond grew stronger following his biggest loss. To which KAT stated, “She was just helping me throughout that whole time because she had just lost her father, daddy’s girl. And she just lost him tragically to, cancer.” He further showed his gratitude towards Woods as firstly she gave him the time and advice he needed during the phase. “Secondly, just truly guide me through the process of losing her,” he added.

KAT stated, “I hope that she does she knows, I think, now how important that was to me. And, I’ll never forget.” Woods’ warmth made him feel that his late mother would’ve really admired her. The couple is now starting a new chapter in their brand-new home.

Karl-Anthony Towns moving to luxurious mansion with girlfriend

The new season is bringing a lot of new elements to Karl-Anthony Towns’ life. Before the New York Knicks could finalize his trade, KAT signed papers for his new mansion in the City of Angels, Los Angeles. The details of the $14 million property could easily make your eyes pop out, as the big man didn’t miss on anything to fulfill his dream.

The 7-bedroom mansion has a gym, spa, and, of course, sports facilities along with a huge home theater. On the 11,000 sq. ft. property, KAT made a barn where his seven horses could find themselves living in comfort. The 17 restrooms and the big garage are also things that KAT built into it. The 28-year-old planned the house well so that he and his girlfriend could host a lavish party with 150 guests and a bar to cater for them, as per TMZ. On top of that, Woods’ very close friend, Kylie Jenner, would become her neighbor.

Have an interesting take?

However, his girlfriend didn’t seem very excited about it, probably because KAT had to move to New York. KAT wasn’t present with the team at the Media Day, but he could hopefully be spotted in the starting lineup in the Knicks’ preseason games.
