“We aren’t friends nor teammates today. We are just coworkers.” With that one statement, Josh Hart declared ‘war’ on his Knicks peers, KAT and Jalen Brunson. Fortunately, fans do not need to worry, as this ‘war’ is only temporary. Hart made the remarks just as the Commanders were set to go up against the Eagles. Given the number of posts that he puts out highlighting his praise for the Washington side, there was no question on which team he would support! Unfortunately, this also meant that Josh had to be on the opposite side of his two teammates. Now, as he gained the high ground, it seems that the ‘war’ may not be over yet.

Earlier today, the Commanders ended up beating the Eagles by a close score of 36-33. The game ended, and Josh Hart was ready to gloat. Taking to his official X account, the Knicks player showcased a screenshot of when he video-called Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson through Google Meet. However, the duo had not picked up by that point. Taking advantage of the opportunity that their delay was presenting to him, Josh Hart wrote, “Someone tell @jalenbrunson1 and @KarlTowns pick up the phone.”

Through this action, Hart may have very well lightheartedly highlighted, even falsely for that matter, his friends as ‘sore losers’.

Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson can feel ‘extra’ disappointed about the outcome of the game. After all, when the first 3 quarters concluded, it was the Commanders that were trailing by 27-14. However, the team soon caught up. In the final minutes of the game, Jayden Daniels, who’s having an impressive rookie season, continued his streak. He found Jamison Crowder, passed the ball, and assisted the game-winning touchdown. They completed it on time too, as only 6 seconds remained in the 4th quarter. Everyone erupted in cheers! Similarly, one can presume Josh Hart was also celebrating the touchdown in a possibly vigorous manner.

KAT himself has not publicly shied away from highlighting his love for a particular NFL franchise. Similarly to LeBron James, he has sometimes sent out praises to the Eagles’ running back Saquon Barkley. Jalen Brunson took his liking for the Eagles further by joining them, during a practice session, back in June. The NBA player captured a photo alongside Dom DiSandro, aka “Big Dom.”

Therefore, both players are proud supporters of Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley’s squad. Unfortunately, they may be reluctant to admit that today. Especially since Towns had sent a ‘middle finger’ in response to Josh Hart’s “We aren’t friends nor teammates today”. Furthermore, Hart also just gained some ammunition to hit back at Brunson over an incident that happened weeks ago.

What’s your perspective on:

Are Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson sore losers, or is Josh Hart just stirring the pot?

Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart had a ‘verbal spat’ earlier over the former’s Washington Commanders hat: “You’re second in division”

Back in early December, Josh Hart turned some heads after he had donned something on his head! During a post-game interview, reporters captured the 29-year-old wearing a gigantic Washington Commanders hat. Hart had done so to celebrate the NFL team’s win against the Tennessee Titans. He then went on to take a jab at Brunson’s head size. He stated, “I just went on, and when I was able to pick the sizes, it was like, small, medium, large, and then it said JB, with an S, so I was like, ‘whoa, what size is that?’”

With the head size discussion being a running joke, Brunson may have been prepared for the jab and was willing to hit back in return. “You’re second in division, you’re second in division,” said Brunson, referring to the Washington Commanders. With the NFL franchise’s recent win last night, Josh Hart may be remembering what took place a couple of weeks ago… Therefore, the next time the hoopster and his NY pal Jalen Brunson come face-to-face, we can expect some proper banter to take place!
