The iconic TD Garden in Boston recently played host to renowned American singer and actor Justin Timberlake. After having mesmerized the audience during his performance at Madison Square Garden, including Michael Jordan’s ex-wife and daughter, he took his ‘The Forget Tomorrow World Tour’ to the same arena where the Celtics were recently declared the NBA champions for the 18th time. To honor the singer, the franchise bestowed upon him a gift that certainly intrigued his sneakerhead persona!

A few hours ago, Timberlake took to his official Instagram account to share a story with his 72.6 million followers. He highlighted receiving a pair of the ‘Custom Boston Celtics World Champs Air Force 1’. The sneakers were recently launched by Nike to celebrate the franchise securing the Championship title for the first time since 2008. With green and white color dominating, they carried the word “TATUM” on the left side in bold. This was done to honor Jayson Tatum, the lead scorer of the winning franchise.

The tip of the tongue had the Larry O’Brien trophy embroidered on it, while the rest of it carried the words “BOSTON CELTICS 2024 WORLD CHAMPIONS”. Timberlake was impressed enough with the gift and not only highlighted it for everyone to see but also wrote “Thank You” to the Celtics and TD Garden for the same.

Justin Timberlake gives a shoutout to the Boston Celtics during his concert

Justin Timberlake was quite ecstatic after the Boston side was finally declared the Champions. Even though he owns a minority stake in the franchise’s rival, the Memphis Grizzles, it didn’t stop the singer from celebrating. During his performance at TD Garden, the 43-year-old exclaimed “Champs, more rings than anybody, Boston Celtics” as the crowd cheered on. With the recent win, they now have one more than the Los Angeles Lakers, and 12 more than the Chicago Bulls, the franchise who dominated the basketball of the 90s!

The 10x Grammy Award Winner was not present in person when the Celtics faced off against the Dallas Mavericks at the TD Garden and then the American Airlines Center. However, he and his wife, actress Jessica Biel, did come out to support the Grizzles when they were playing the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center. While he may have not had the chance to celebrate the Celtics then alongside the heartwarming moments captured between Jayson Tatum and his son, he made full use of it in his visit to TD Garden.
