The Golden State Warriors have been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons since the infamous Draymond Green – Jordan Poole fiasco. The franchise that boasted of incredible brotherhood was gutted when Green punched Poole during practice before the 2022-23 NBA season. Draymond Green and Jordan Poole have shared a shaky relationship since. However, Jordan Poole’s father recently added fuel to the fire. Jordan Poole was the Warriors’ young prodigy until last season. The 24-year-old had Dub Nation fans hailing him as the ‘Third Splash Brother’ along with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

However, the Draymond Green fiasco led to him being traded away for an NBA veteran the very next year. This prompted Poole’s father to express his anger regarding the incident. However, he himself recently received backlash for his comments from a millionaire rapper, ridiculing the 52-year-old.

Jordan Poole had an incredible stint at Golden State before being traded. The 24-year-old served as a pivotal piece on the 2022 championship roster coming off the bench. He also saw an impressive rise in all statistical categories last season. With his terrific resume with the Warriors, Poole had every reason to stay with the side. However, his bout with Green played a major role in him landing on the Washington Wizards roster about a month ago.

Poole’s father released an enraged statement regarding this incident. Taking to Twitter, Anthony Poole said, “I’m stand on this that’s is some bs…He is a soft a** b***h and I’m standing on this…So he came and me and him can meet anytime he want.” His words received a strong response from the man Draymond Green himself. However, millionaire rapper Cam’ron too decided to weigh in on this matter.

In a recent interview, Cam’ron said, “This situation to me, is just dragging on. Jordan Poole is gone…why are we still talking about this situation, because n***a’s still hurt.”

He further added, “As far as Jordan Poole dad, you’ve been there all year…you wait till you get traded to DC…yo my man, don’t wait till you get traded across the country to say what you gonna do…”

The Draymond Green-Jordan Poole incident happened before the 2022-23 NBA season. However, the aftermath of the incident has had devastating consequences. Now, on the verge of entering the 2023-24 season, the Warriors do not remain the same team.

The Warriors traded away their young prodigy, Poole to bring in the veteran leadership of 12-time All-Star Chris Paul. Jordan Poole eventually landed on the Wizards, who have shifted their focus on a rebuild. With Poole at the helm, the Wizards have a great opportunity of building a strong core surrounding Poole, Kyle Kuzma and Tyus Jones. However, the Warriors have been left to deal with a crisis.

The Green-Poole fiasco majorly impacted the Warriors’ chances of winning a championship last season. However, the dismay did not stop there for the franchise. Despite landing Chris Paul in the blockbuster trade, the locker room situation has not healed yet. Paul’s reputation as a leader may get crushed by his potential role off the bench. The 38-year-old has reportedly not taken this news well. This may lead to further complications in the Warriors locker room.
