The Israeli military responded to the attack with its jets bombing the Gaza Strip. The government of Israel formally declared war on Sunday. And the next day, they announced that the supply of electricity, food, fuel, and other essential commodities to the Gaza Strip would be stopped.?

In the wake of this humanitarian war crisis, many NBA stars and teams took to social media to share their thoughts and to send a word of prayer to the victims. Among them was Stephen Curry‘s wife Ayesha Curry, who also spoke up about the incident.?

The author and chef shared on her Instagram stories a post from actress Viola Davis. It questioned people?s ability to feel empathy if they refuse to see the victims of violence because of the actions of their government. This is the biggest way for propaganda to spread, it claimed.?

Later, she also added a post detailing the developments of the war with a caption, ?Makes my stomach hurt. Just devastation?.?

Ayesha, along with millions from around the world, has raised their concerns over the raging violence that has taken over the Middle East. The one thing that everyone desperately wishes is for this war to end, as this affects the lives of millions of people and young children.??

The Curry Family and their humanitarian efforts

Stephen and Ayesha Curry have always involved themselves in philanthropy and activism. Together, they aim to work towards the upliftment of the society and security of children. Stephen has been vocal about his thoughts on racism and equality. Together with his wife, they set up Eat.Learn.Play. Foundation. Through the foundation, they have refurbished 12 school and community playgrounds. Additionally, they invested in literacy initiatives and supplied free books to Oakland youth.?

The Congressional Hunger Center honored the Currys with the Trailblazer Award in 2020 for paving new paths to achieving food security. It acknowledged them for using their voice and influence to create real change in reducing the prevalence of hunger.
