The New York Knicks faced a beat-down from the Milwaukee Bucks recently. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard stopped the Knicks short of reaching the first-ever semi-finals in the NBA In-season tournament. Despite Julius Randle’s magnificent 41-point effort, Freaktime’s combined 63 points were enough to hold New York back to a 20-point deficit.
In the coming days, the Knicks will face the Boston Celtics, the first seed in the West. It’s the 5th time this season that the Knicks are facing the Celtics, so Julius Randle had some interesting thoughts about their matchup.

In a recent Twitter post by Kristian Winfield, he pointed out Randle’s response to the matchup. The tweet stated, “Julius Randle on the Knicks playing the Celtics and Bucks 5 times this season, with an additional game against each on the road: “What do you want me to say? It’s bullshit?”

Randle’s comments point toward the fact that the Knicks will face the Celtics for the 5th time in a row. Despite being the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference, New York has only played 20 games, with 12 wins and 8 losses. On the other hand, the Celtics are the top seed in the east, with a record of 15-5. Boston has won three match-ups out of the four times the two teams have met so far.
This is precisely why the 5th game is so crucial. Especially after the Knicks were brutally defeated by the Celtics last time.

Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum spearheaded the team’s offensive efforts, contributing 35 and 22 points, respectively. In addition to them, Center Kristaps Porzingis assumed the role of the third offensive option, delivering 21 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
Notably, the Celtics opted for a lineup featuring only three bench players, who collectively scored 19 points. This unconventional strategy isn’t a one-time occurrence for coach Joe Mazzulla, as in the previous game, he refrained from bringing in bench players despite holding a significant lead in the final minutes of the match. Who do you think will win the 5th match-up?
