Jordan Poole a.k.a Kid Splash was an integral part of the Dubs Offence. Despite being a key part of the Warriors in their quest for the 4th chip, things went sideways for Jp3. “Poole Party” was punched out of the Bay Area to the nation’s capital by Draymond Green. However, his poor post-season performances were also likely contributors.

More recently, Poole is showing the Dubs fans what they are missing. In a preseason game, he dropped endless buckets to secure a win for the  Washington Wizards. After the game, he sat down for an interview. Yet he wasn’t keen on answering Green-related questions.

Jordan Poole’s relocation to the nation’s capital rather than staying with the Golden State Warriors can be attributed to his feud with Draymond Green. This conflict, which notably involved Green punching Poole during a practice session in October, had a lasting impact. It not only disrupted the Warriors’ season and their ambitious plans but also defined a significant part of Poole’s career.

Prior to this incident, Poole and Green had a close, sibling-like relationship, with Green mentoring and supporting Poole since he arrived as the 28th pick in the 2019 draft. However, the divide caused by the punch ultimately led to Poole’s departure from the Warriors. In a post-game interview after being asked to comment about the Green, he simply said, “Next question, next question.”

Furthermore, he elaborated saying, “Now you know I wasn’t going to answer nothing along the lines of [that].” Despite initial doubts, Kid Splash has come to fully blossom in his new role in the Wizards. Even tie-ing Michael Jordan’s record with his performance.

Jordan ties with Jordan

JP3 put on an offensive show in the game against the Knicks. He scored 41 points, in 10-for-19 shooting in 27 minutes, leading Wizards to an easy victory. The performance made Poole the only Wizard player since  Michael Jordan in 2000 to score that many points. Tying the franchise record in Scoring.

So far in the preseason, Poole’s been averaging 23.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 23 minutes of playing time. This is evidence to his acceptance of his new role as the face of the franchise.
