The Philadelphia 76ers are on a great start currently at 3rd in the Eastern Conference with a 17-7 record. Philadelphia is performing above average on offense, and much credit for that success goes to reigning MVP Joel Embiid. The team recently defeated the Detroit Pistons in back-to-back matches and Embiid averaged a double-double in both games. Philly plays the Charlotte Hornets tonight, aiming to sustain their 6th straight win. The Sixers’ big man got an injury scare last week, but he seems to be fine from that injury.

Embiid has missed only three games this season. The injury status has not been updated yet, but he is likely to play tonight as he has been a full participant in practice sessions.

Embiid’s recent injury occurred in last Friday’s win over the Atlanta Hawks, where he twisted his ankle. At the time of writing, the Sixers have not submitted their official injury report yet, but fortunately for the Sixers, Embiid is playing in his full form. He will probably not miss tonight’s game unless there is a last-minute decision.

Embiid is the current MVP leader in scoring and is showing no signs of slowing down. He completely dismantled the Pistons in two consecutive games. Embiid is averaging 33.8 points, 11.5 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 1.9 blocks per game so far. Tyrese Maxey on offense is averaging 2.3 and made 3-pointers over the last 10 games for Philly.
