Drama off the court, massive suspensions, and incessant trade rumors, the whole saga between Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat has been quite the ride. And it seems far from over. Butler is serving his 3rd suspension in January, after already missing several games due to his 2 prior suspensions. If anything, he’s just repeating his pattern of falling out with key individuals with the franchises he’s been a part of. And if recent reports are to be believed, Butler may not be going anywhere.

It seems things just keep falling in place that serve to prolong this feud between the franchise and player! One of the potential suitors, the Sacramento Kings has rescinded their interest in Jimmy Butler, according to The Athletic’s Sam Amick. Barry Jackson re-affirmed the same, posting, “Kings not pursuing Butler, per Sam Amick. Kings fielding Fox offers.” Moreover, the Sactown side is now fielding offers for their own player looking toward greener pastures, De’Aaron Fox!

As the Kings front office continues to canvass the league for solutions to their uncertain future… this much is clear: They do not see Jimmy Butler as the answer. Per league sources, the Kings are not pursuing the disgruntled Miami star who is serving an indefinite suspension while Heat officials attempt to trade him,” clarified Amick. It appears as though there is no possibility of Jimmy Butler heading to Sacramento to escape his headlining troubles in Miami.

Unsurprisingly, the Kings join the growing list of clubs to pass on Jimmy Butler’s services. Kevin O’Connor reported earlier that the Golden State Warriors were also not enthusiastic about Butler anymore. “Golden State’s indecision about trading for Butler seems to be largely tied to Steph and Kerr’s worries about the personality fit there,” reported Kevin O’Conor.

Even as the February 6 deadline approaches, Miami is no closer to parting ways with Jimmy Butler than when this fiasco began. Moreover, JB seems to be past trying to preserve any ounce of goodwill left between him and the Heat! And there’s really no better evidence of this than the way he just trolled Miami.

Jimmy Butler demonizes the Heat again, prompting an amusing response from DoorDash!

When Butler’s suspension was earlier announced, his teammate and friend, Kevin Love uploaded a light-hearted response. He used a clip of Denzel Washington from the climax of the movie, “Training Day.” And while it’s best we don’t summarize the profanity-filled clip, we can tell you how Butler responded. He used a clip from the Martin Lawrence Show to troll his Miami team. It was from a scene where Lawrence calls his friend ‘jobless’ multiple times a day!

What’s your perspective on:

Is Jimmy Butler's trolling of Miami Heat a sign of genius or just plain disrespect?

Have an interesting take?

But this time, he took things even further. Jimmy Butler uploaded an Instagram story of his credit card getting declined, as he tried to pay a $107 bill. And someone offscreen says, “You are currently unemployed so your card doesn’t work, sir.” This video went viral quickly, being re-shared by several media outlets and fans alike.

Even online food delivery company, DoorDash got in on the fun. They made a post on X, offering Jimmy Butler a free subscription, given he’s now “unemployed.” Here’s what the caption said, “👋 @JimmyButler Now that you’re unemployed, let us know if you need a free DashPass subscription. The extra savings will come in handy.”

Absolutely hilarious stuff and we think the person running their social media deserves a raise for the efforts. Jimmy Butler will have loved seeing this post. However, the unique part in this entire back-and-forth with the $78.33B market cap company, is that the player himself acknowledged all the Miami Heat trolling that’s been happening! Even with the credit card video, he was the first to post it, and Butler did not bother denying the individual when he passed the ‘unemployed’ remark.
