And just like that, the Warriors look threatening and openly call their shot at the ring. Well, all thanks to Jimmy Butler then. The veteran forward triggered the championship spirit in Steph Curry and Draymond Green that vanished over the last couple of years. Interestingly, Butler’s presence didn’t just ignite the wildfire. The 35-year-old also had the solution to the nagging problem that has bothered Dubs throughout the season. Steve Kerr finally finds his man!

It’s the turnovers—the culprit that robbed off the Dubs’ Ws. Without a doubt, the GSW is a strong offensive unit. A little spark in their ace shooters like Stephen Curry, Buddy Hield, Brandin Podziemski, and Moses Moody could change the game. But at the same time, these offense machines can throw the game away in no time with their sloppy control over the ball. I know it’s a sin to generalize Steph with his teammates on this affair. But it is what it is. (He concedes 2.9 TOs per game! Hush now)

There are plenty of games where the team has thrown the game away in the fourth quarter after a dominant double-digit lead. Anyway, that doesn’t seem to be a problem anymore, as Jimmy Butler laid out the simple rules to follow on the offensive end. “Get a shot on goal. That’s all I ever think,” said Big Face Jimmy, revealing his offensive philosophy. Wait, wait! It doesn’t end there.

The veteran gave a snippet of what runs through his mind with the ball in his hand, approaching the offensive end. Firstly, secure the ball. Here is the rest.

“Don’t turn the ball over, make sure that reaches the shot whether I fouled or I can get the ball out to somebody I know they know that shoot the ball. That’s what it’s always down to,” said Butler.

Hmm.. Now, we know what goes behind that straight face. He also added how he takes control until the last second, saying, “Get into the paint, I know that somebody will come over and help. Throw it to the guy that came over to help.”

Sounds simple, right? Yeah, for me too! Except it isn’t.

What’s your perspective on:

Did Jimmy Butler just hand the Warriors the secret to another championship run?

Have an interesting take?

Anyway, let’s listen to what Coach Steve Kerr thinks about it.

Jimmy Butler & Co. left Coach Steve Kerr impressed

Last night, the Kings stood no chance against the Warriors and succumbed to a 132-108 loss. It was the Dubs’ first blow against the ‘Sac Town’ this season after embarrassingly losing two games against them.

In the last outing in January, Golden State held a 17-point lead in the first half and looked for a comfortable victory. Instead, the Kings took over the second half, leveling the score at the end of the third quarter, and easily snatched the W at the end.

The team gave away 19 turnovers and conceded 27 points. Fast forward to last night, the team gave away 12 TOs and conceded only 5 points. Well, the difference speaks for itself, as the Dubs won last night with a 24-point margin.

And Coach Steve Kerr seemed pretty impressed with this. Why not? Speaking at the presser, he said, “We took care of the ball, avoided points off turnovers,” as the major reason behind the win.

Kerr also looked at the past and said, “We’ve had big leads and started turning it over and you know giving up transition points and we didn’t do that tonight and that was a that’s a great sign.” So, what does the “great sign” mean? Is he also hinting at the ring? We never know.
