Jimmy Butler believes in living life to the fullest. At least that’s what his Instagram stories suggest. The man appears to be relishing every moment of his summer break as Butler gave his 9.9 million IG followers a glimpse of his recent side quests that led him to Las Vegas. The small forward posted a string of pictures and videos from his hangout with music sensation Martin Garrix to a clip of the famous NFL stadium.
Butler was spotted grooving to the tunes of the $30 million worth DJ, Garrix, in a couple of his stories. The Heat-man kept himself fashionably up-to-date by sporting a light blue co-ord. Besides having a fun night with the enthusiastic crowd, Jimmy Buckets captured other moments in his story. Butler seemingly shifted his focus to the sport ahead of preseason. But no, it was not about the Miami Heat as Jimmy looked forward to some exciting NFL action. One of the stories peaked the attention of the fans as Butler shared a clip of the Allegiant stadium, which was hosting the game between the Las Vegas Raiders and The Carolina Panthers.

With the NFL season in full swing, the country is in a football frenzy. Recently, Kevin Durant made that official by signing a deal with FanDuel and the Suns star is now regularly sharing his predictions on the game weeks. Apart from KD, LeBron James is also among the passengers of the NFL hype train. Two of DraftKings’ commercials, including LeBron James, went viral recently before the opening week of the NFL games. Both ads feature Kevin Hart and the actor was seen taking a dig at LeBron’s age, saying, how the NFL “wants someone who can run a 40, not is 40”. The other one shows the duo coming up with various touchdown cellys. Apart from these King James keeps his followers engaged with his weekly picks and reactions about all things NFL. LeBron signed a deal with the sportsbook company, DraftKings, last year to become a brand ambassador.

While Jimmy hasn’t inked any such deal, his love for football is no secret. The 35-year-old forward is still in shape to ace in any sport and football is not off limits. Butler often stuns fans with his bold claims and he made one such about his potential in football.
Jimmy Butler backed himself to replicate NBA success in the NFL
Basketball players have often confessed their love for football and vice versa. But in the midst of this, many athletes have sparked the NBA vs NFL debate throughout the years. While Jimmy Butler kept himself from that debate, his admiration for the sport is well recorded. “I really love the game of football,” he once stated during the 2016 Olympics. Making a tall claim, the Heat forward said, “I think I’m really good at it. I can probably take Demaryius Thomas’ spot, Antonio Brown’s spot.”

Butler further informed that he had reminded the NFL stars how lucky they were as he was playing for Team USA in the Olympics, otherwise, he would have easily gotten into one of their franchises. Don’t mistake it for his usual jokes, as Jimmy quickly clarified, “I’m very serious and I think if you were to ask people that aren’t haters, which everybody on this team is, it’d be me because I’m fast and I have great hands. I can really catch.”
Surprised by Butler’s claims, his then-USA teammate, Kevin Durant, dived into the conversation and called him an “idiot” for saying that he could take down Thomas and Brown. Then the two got involved in a friendly banter and the Suns’ leader said, “You can’t even score on me bro.” One thing common between the duo is that both have claimed to be successful in the wide receiver position. But can they actually put it off on the football field? That’s debate for another day!
