Can IShowSpeed outrun NBA star Jimmy Butler, or is he just all talk and no speed?

IShowSpeed has become synonymous with streaming as he travels around the world and even has met some of the biggest celebrities. Recently, the streamer linked up with none other than Paul Pogba, the soccer sensation who is nearing his return to the sport after a long absence due to a ban. After joining Speed on his stream the duo looked at some memes and shared laughs before playing 1v1 in EA FC25.

The real highlight came during a soccer challenge when Pogba told Speed that Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler had claimed he could outrun him. Speed’s response was priceless: “I’m gonna embarrass him… he doesn’t wanna do it,” he joked confidently. As Pogba continued to name other athletes, Speed remained insistent that he could take on anyone in a race.

In a potential race between Jimmy Butler and Speed, it’s hard not to give the edge to Butler as a professional athlete. When Speed challenged him, asking, “Yo, Jimmy, I heard you said you could beat me in a race,” Jimmy replied confidently, “I know I could beat you in a race.” Speed didn’t hold back, calling Jimmy “scared” and saying, “Chat, Jimmy is a coward, he is scared to race me bruh.”

While Speed has shown incredible athleticism online, can he really match up to Butler, who trains every day at the NBA level? Pogba’s got his money on Jimmy, and that’s hard to argue with given Butler’s elite conditioning. Still, with Speed’s competitive drive and energy, it would be a thrilling matchup.

IShowSpeed’s encounter with another NBA star

Speed, known for his wild antics, has certainly made a name for himself in the world of social media. This recent challenge to Jimmy Butler isn’t the first time he’s crossed paths with NBA stars. Previously, he met Kevin Durant, aka the “Slim Reaper,” on Logan Paul’s podcast Impaulsive. While Speed was visibly thrilled to meet Durant, the Suns’ star didn’t exactly return the enthusiasm. Their interaction was filled with awkward moments, with KD keeping a notably cool demeanor towards Speed throughout the show.

Speed played 1v1 against KD which was hilarious as he isn’t the best at hooping. However, he did impress KD with his bounce as he touched the rim without any basketball shoes. As expected, speed lost the game to KD but it was a fun experience for the streamer. But towards the end of the stream Speed spoke about KD as he too sensed that he was cold towards him throughout.

Speed said “It was fun playing with KD, but I lost. I don’t think he really liked me, but it was fun. He don’t know that you know I watched him a lot growing up, bought all his shoes KD 7s, KD 8s, KD9s. That’s my boy.”  Although KD did not seem too enthusiastic during the interaction it could just be an act. The two did have some cool moments together.
