Looks like Jimmy Butler finally got his “Joy Back.” After a two-month long constantly escalating saga with the Heat, it’s time for the Texas native to pack his bags and leave South Beach. Yes, Pat Riley is reportedly sending Jimmy to the Warriors in a blockbuster multi-team trade. Adding icing on the cake, the six-time All-Star has agreed to a two-year $121 million extension with the Bay Area franchise. And Butler cannot contain his excitement!
Just minutes after Shams Charania broke the news, Butler broke the silence with a tweet, “Welcome to the Wild Wild West” along with a 28-second byte of the popular song.
Of course, Jimmy has not played for a Western Conference team since he left the Timberwolves six years ago. So, this will definitely be a rejuvenating experience for him after the turmoil he went through in Miami. Now that he has inked an extension with his new team, Jimmy will be declining his $52.4 million player option for next season.

While Butler is finally in a good place, the world has completely shifted for Andrew Wiggins. Yes, he is among the many Warriors stars to be traded in this shocking deal. Turns out, Wiggs will join Pat Riley’s franchise right away. Unfortunately, the news hit him right when he was preparing for tonight’s Jazz encounter. And reports reveal that he got a heartwarming farewell from all the Warriors members.
Following Wiggins’ warmup, an assistant coach, security, and even Stephen Curry dapped him up on his way to the locker room. Sure enough, other players also walked over to shake his hand, before the team reportedly conducted a closed-door meeting. Even Steve Kerr left the meeting with his head held down, likely saddened by the news of Wiggins and other players’ departure. But the head coach always knew this was a possibility!

Steve Kerr revealed the reason behind Andrew Wiggins’ trade possibility before it happened
Well, Wiggs has given six years of his career to the Bay Area franchise and even helped them win a championship three years ago. So, it’s understandable why his teammates are heartbroken to see him leave. Steve Kerr even revealed his importance in a recent interview, “Not only his play, but just his presence, what he means to the group. Everyone loves Wiggs. He’s impossible not to love.”
However, the head coach also understood why Wiggins’ future in the Bay was not secure, “There’s a reason his name is out there, he’s a really good player and he’s on a contract that is possible to put into big trades [and] to go out and get somebody you’ve got your eye on.” Yes, the forward is in the second year of his four-year $109 million contract and was the perfect piece for the trade package to acquire a superstar like Butler.
