The Celtics are ready to test themselves against the best that the Western Conference has to offer. With Joe Mazzulla’s men gearing up to face the Thunder, the Cs need all the boost they can get. Their recent form has been faltering with absences from Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, and Jrue Holiday at times. But now it’s time to prove why the Celtics are the reigning champions. But all eyes will be on Jaylen Brown who missed the last two games. Will he be back in the line-up today?
After numerous questions surrounding Brown’s availability, the matter has finally been settled. According to Gary Washburn’s reports, the 28-year-old will be lacing up for the big game. The swingman was initially listed as questionable but as game time is approaching, the Celtics confirmed his status after thoroughly monitoring his condition.

Brown registered his name on the injury report after sustaining a strain on his right shoulder. So, the franchise gave him a much-needed break to heal. Even though his absence didn’t affect the team’s winning streak, his presence is definitely crucial against the Thunder.
More good news keeps rolling in, as Celtics Insider Justin Turpin stated, “The #Celtics will have their entire top-eight available today (White, Holiday, Brown, Tatum, Porzingis, Horford, Pritchard, Hauser) for just the 2nd time this season today.”
The Thunder have a solid roster and are sitting pretty at the top of the Western Conference. So, stopping them is no easy task. They’re strong on both ends of the court, which means Mazzulla will really need his star player, Brown, to help keep things balanced. Plus, the 3-time All-Star already has some impressive numbers against the OKC side.
Brown is averaging 18.6 points against the franchise while maintaining a shooting percentage of 45.4% from the field and 30% from deep. And after today’s match, the numbers will of course change.
