We all know Jaylen Brown can rap. After all, his single ‘Just Do It’ has over a million streams on Spotify right now. Similarly, he’s a force of nature on the court, especially when playing alongside Jayson Tatum. In addition, he took a master’s-level course in Cultural Studies of Sport in Education at the University of California, Berkeley.

He’s the perfect advocate for a jack of all trades. Now, add one more accomplishment to his unique skillset. Brown’s got moves off the court as well! Well, at least he thinks so!

In a post on Instagram, Jaylen Brown highlighted how underrated he is as a dancer. Pictures suggest the Boston Celtics star wants everyone to know he’s a triple threat. Not an actor who can dance and sing, but a baller who can do those things. Notably, the post showed a fan claiming everyone was sleeping on Jaylen Brown’s dance moves. The Celtics guard posted it to his own feed, making it a collaboration post. He also commented, “Y’all sleeping on the two step.”

This dance post came during the All-Star game when Jaylen took to the court by performing a smooth yet low-key two-step. While this fan was clearly trolling, Brown, taking it in his stride, put a unique spin on the post entirely.

Instead of ridiculing him, other fans quickly defended Brown and his tango. Some called his two-step “clean” while others claimed most people underrated everything Jaylen did. This really got some clicks, if slightly unorthodox, move on Jaylen’s part.

It showed that he didn’t let the trolls on social media get to him. But what else did you expect from arguably the smartest player in the NBA? We may even see him in a spinoff to an iconic series if all goes according to his plans.

Rarely, someone who excels in athletics can also translate that success into academics. After all, the demands of getting your game to a professional level cannot be understated. But it appears as if the Celtics star, Jaylen Brown didn’t get that memo since he delivers lectures at Harvard when he’s not playing in the NBA.

And yes, THAT Harvard!

But he doesn’t want to be an academic, Brown wants to educate. Education remains important to people. Go to school!

All of this came to light when Brown appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. On the show, the host asked Brown about his love for beloved American TV personality and scientist, Bill Nye, aka, Bill Nye the Science Guy. Jaylen then went on to explain why he adored Nye and why he wanted to meet him.

“I just grew up loving education, and he made education fun,” he said.

And when Fallon asked what the two talked about, Jaylen laid out his plans. “So I teach. I do the MIT fellowship and I’ve done lectures at Harvard. So I told him, ‘Maybe we can do like a Bill Nye spinoff’ or something. I would love to do something [like] an educational journey, kind of like pass the torch. Pick up where he left off,” finished Brown.

So far, Bill Nye hasn’t said anything about a potential spinoff featuring Jaylen Brown. But we, as NBA fans, know that almost anything he’s a part of turns golden. So Bill Nye, if you’re reading this, please sign him up and give us fans, Jaylen Brown – the Science Guy!
