Jaylen Brown in South Korea—Is he the most culturally connected player in the NBA right now?

Jaylen Brown is on his way to get his hands on some coveted and rare fashion collectibles from none other than the world-renowned K-Pop icon, G-Dragon. No, no, it’s not a private tête-à-tête just for the Celtics champion. But it sure is an exclusive event. Titled “Nothing But A ‘G’ Thang: The Art & Archive of G-Dragon,” the event is hosted by JOOPITER, the global art content platform and digital auction house founded by Pharrell Williams in 2022, it is a celebration of the multi-hyphenate’s legacy as a cultural icon and trailblazer.

“We are honored that he has opened his archive to JOOPITER and we are excited to bring the world together to celebrate the many facets of his incredible talent,” the JOOPITER founder said in a statement. Yes, you read that right. The 7x MAMA Award recipient has indeed opened his vast archive for his fans.

The collection includes rare fashion collectibles, contemporary art, unique designs, and memorabilia for his fans. It also features the 36-year-old’s clothing, rare sneakers, accessories, jewelry, furniture, musical instruments, and even a set of his in-ear monitors. Without a doubt, it’s set to be a haven for G-Dragon fans and art connoisseurs alike.

Given that Jaylen Brown has a taste for the finer things in life, it really is no surprise that he would be present for the premier event.

As a prelude to the exciting collaboration, they kicked things off with a party at a luxury resort complex in Incheon—Paradise City. This was followed by a public exhibition of the items on September 2. The collection will also be on display at the Daelim Museum in Seoul from the 5th to the 7th. Meanwhile, the online auction is open for bidding and runs until September 10th.
