James Harden undoubtedly played his best basketball with the Houston Rockets. The 11-year NBA veteran Patrick Beverley played five seasons with the Rockets and Harden.
With the 2018 MVP’s future in the air, Beverly recently claimed to have joined the Philadelphia 76ers just to play with Harden. He hoped that his former teammate would stay with the 76ers.
“Players are here to play. That decision is definitely above my pay grade, but you can’t redo a James Harden. So hell yeah, you want him here. Hell, you want him in the locker room, hell, you want him first day of practice”, said Beverly during a press conference.
When asked about what would Beverly tell The Beard to convince him to stay, the 3-times All-Defensive had an interesting answer. ” James, I love you, bro. Stay. … I’m very familiar with James. And I’m excited. I’m excited to get it going”, said Beverly. In case Harden ends up leaving, Beverly can form a backcourt with Tyrese Maxey.
Where is Harden most likely to go?
Ever since the rumors started doing the rounds on the internet, there has been only one name on everyone’s lips. It is the Los Angeles Clippers. Harden has hinted at another potential Big Three after his recent stint with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving at the Brooklyn Nets.
