The Houston Rockets are on a roll, extending their winning streak to 6 games with a 137-114 victory over the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night. This win keeps them in the hunt for the final Western Conference Play-In spot, chasing the likes of the Lakers and Warriors. Jalen Green, fresh off his first career Player of the Week award, continued his heater of a run. Some fans are whispering, a certain superstar singer’s (Draya Michele) pregnancy glow is fueling his game.

In the matchup against the Wizards, Green topped the scoring charts with a season-high 42 points, shooting lights-out at 12-for-21 and bagging 10 rebounds. Green was on fire early, erupting for 19 points in the first quarter and giving the Rockets a comfy 39-36 lead.

After seeing Jalen’s unbelievable performance, the internet has been flooded with reactions from fans ranging from “Draya must be at the game for Jalen Green to be showing off like this” to “Draya announced she was pregnant and Jalen Green been going up ever since.”

Jalen Green etched his name in Houston Rockets history during their win against the Sacramento Kings. At just 22 years and 30 days old, he became the youngest player in the franchise to reach the coveted 4,000 career point mark. This achievement surpasses James Harden’s record by a full year.

Is Draya’s Pregnancy The Secret Behind Jalen Going Off?

Fans seemed to think Draya’s presence has been for the better for Jalen and those cheering on.

While the youngest, Green wasn’t the fastest to the milestone. He accomplished it in 207 games compared to Hakeem Olajuwon’s record of 181. However, Green is forging his own path. He’s established himself as a high-volume scorer, currently averaging 18.2 points per game.

Jalen’s well-rounded skill-set includes 4.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. Shooting efficiency is an area for improvement, but he’s connecting on 41.4% of his field goals and 31.8% from three-point range, averaging 2.1 three-pointers per contest. One fan iterated on Draya’s influence catapulting Jalen to fit among the top 10. “Not being talked about enough,” they had to say.

Another one remarked that Draya’s pregnancy announcement has brought a spring in Jalen’s steps and not just figuratively.

In tonight’s game, Green wasn’t alone in his scoring rampage. Amen Thompson chipped in a career-best of 25 points and 10 rebounds, while Jabari Smith Jr. notched another double-double with 18 points and 14 boards. This marks Smith’s 16th double-double of the season, tying his previous career high. A shoutout also goes to Jock Landale, who provided a spark off the bench with 10 points and a whopping seven blocks.

Things got a little dicey in the 3rd quarter of tonight’s game, though. The Wizards, despite their recent struggles, actually grabbed a short-lived lead at 74-71. But then, Amen Thompson threw down a dunk, and the Rockets rode that momentum to a dominant 29-8 run to close the quarter. Green, ever the closer, racked up 15 points during that stretch to put the game on ice.

In his last 10 games alone, Green has been averaging a staggering 24.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.3 assists. Looks like Jalen Green has been on fire ever since Draya announced the arrival of a bundle of joy, or so think the fans! Share your thoughts below.
