The Knicks cornerstone brought a wildfire with him when he took a whopping $113 million pay cut with the franchise. The city of New York loved him beyond measure. Now, his influence is spreading to another continent, specifically in Paris.

Achraf Hakimi, a world-class right back of Paris Saint Germain just played an outstanding game against their rivals Montpellier in their Ligue 1 opener. The former Real Madrid defender got on the score sheet and even managed to assist Kolo Muani in PSG’s 6-0 routing of their opposition. When celebrating his goal, Hakimi used Brunson’s signature three-point celebration, later posting it on his Instagram story.

Upon seeing the moment, the Knicks foundational star reposted it on his social media and expressed his gratitude to the PSG defender for utilizing his celebration.

Brunson has become a major part of New York sports with not only his mammoth sacrifice but also through his eloquent play. Prior to his injury, the Knicks seemed invulnerable. Jalen Brunson had transported his game from Dallas. It has the same patience, ease, and comfort. But in the Big Apple, it has been refined to such an extent that defenders crumble to his counters.

Additionally, he has put the Knicks in a situation to sign all of their core pieces, while also making roster improvements by signing a contract extension one season earlier than he could. If there is a Knick at heart, it has to be Jalen Brunson. His zeal and commitment haven’t been seen in the city in a long time.

Just like Jalen Brunson, Stephen Curry too has an infectious celebration. His ‘Nuit Nuit’ became popularized during the 2022 NBA Finals, when he put the Boston Celtics to sleep. In that same year, Ousmane Dembele, as part of FC Barcelona visited the USA for the preseason. They played against Juventus in Dallas.

During the game, Dembele managed to score a remarkable goal, which ended up being one of his last contributions for the esteemed Spanish club. After scoring, he ran toward the camera and broke out Curry’s sizzling celebration. It was in front of the very crowd that Curry eliminated during the 2022 run and hit the exact celebration.

The moment quickly became viral, soon reaching Stephen Curry himself. Sharing a laugh at the spread of his iconic celebration, he called it “A movement” on Twitter. Since then, several high-profile athletes have used the Chef’s celebration, and it has become one of his trademarks too.
