Despite a 6 ‘2 stature, Jalen Brunson has been a dark horse for the New York Knicks. Ever since his trade to the NY city, the star has been the centerpiece of the Knicks attack. However, the only drawback that the star often faces is the inability to get foul calls. Despite the harsh physicality against him near the paint, the refs seemed to have turned a blind eye to the play multiple times. And, Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau took the matter into his hand as he expressed his frustration after the Friday night loss.

Ever since the inception of the league, it has always been the tall players who have dominated the game. Except for a few exceptions like Stephen Curry and Isiah Thomas. In that line-up, Jalen Brunson has also emerged as an unavoidable contender. But, the game isn’t fair with them, as the average height of NBA players is 6 ‘6 – 6 ‘7. And, Brunson has always been on the receiving end of this drastic height difference.

The 6′ 1 point guard has the incredible ability to drive through the defenders and reach the rim with ease. But, at the same time, he often faced rejections from the tall rim protectors. Similarly, the Magic’s physicality dominated Brunson, as he only managed to drop 20 points.

During the post-game press conference, one of the reporters asked Thibodeau about the physicality directed towards Brunson and the lack of foul calls. He immediately snapped back with his frustration and delivered an open message to NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. He said, “What this guy’s going through’s ridiculous… He’s getting hammered time after time, and I’m just getting sick & tired of it. I watch it, I send it in…They’re fouls. Plain & simple. They’re fouls…Sick & tired of it.”

Moreover, Brunson himself seemed pretty upset about it, as he responded to the situation after the game. Let’s find out what Brunson had to say about the physicality of the Magic’s game.
