The overlap between the NBA world and the world of hip-hop is a very widely known one. We often see rappers courtside at matches, and they also name-drop a lot of NBA superstars in their songs. Jack Harlow and Tyler Herro’s connection stems from one such song. Harlow dropped his hit single “Tyler Herro” in October 2020, and ever since, the pair have been fast friends. With Herro appearing in Harlow’s video, it’s clear to see that the duo is extremely close.

With Harlow having been spotted courtside for a lot of Herro’s Miami Heat games, it’s no surprise that the pair have time for surprise appearances even when the NBA has a day off.

Jack Harlow’s song Tyler Herro received a lot of praise and attention, especially from basketball fans. Since then, Harlow’s relationship with the Miami Heat star has blossomed. Recently, the Miami Heat’s sharpshooter made an appearance in one of Jack Harlow’s shows. Harlow, who is on tour right now, brought out Tyler Herro at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky.

Harlow was last spotted sitting courtside for game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics. Given his friendship with Herro, one would assume Harlow would’ve been rooting for the Heat. Instead, the 25-year-old rapper chose to don a Celtics varsity jacket and cheer for Boston. Unfortunately for Harlow, even without Tyler Herro, the Miami Heat were able to take care of business and advance to the NBA Finals.

The Heat defeated the Celtics, which, to many fans, seemed like a victory shoved in the face of Jack Harlow. However, it seems like things have been fairly smooth given that Tyler Herro is making an appearance at Jack Harlow’s concerts, that too, in his hometown of Kentucky.

Tyler Herro has been missing from the Miami Heat’s lineup since the start of last year’s playoffs. Herro suffered an injury during the first game against the Milwaukee Bucks while diving for a loose ball. Herro ended up breaking his wrist and has since then been out of the Heat’s rotation. A vital part of the Heat’s offense, one could go on to speculate how the NBA Finals would’ve played differently had he not been injured.

Herro’s biggest strength is his outside shooting, something the Heat sorely missed in their Finals series loss. With the likes of Duncan Robinson and Kevin Love unable to deliver the goods, the Heat fell short time and again and ultimately lost out to the Nuggets.

This season has gone better for the Miami side. With rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr a revelation, it seems like Herro’s return could turn the Heat into serious contenders again. According to CBS Sports, Herro has been recovering from a Grade 2 ankle sprain and will potentially be out for another week or so. So, it looks like Heat fans will have something to rejoice about soon.
