Victor Wembanyama is currently taking the NBA world by storm. With analysts predicting that the 19-year-old Frenchman will be an All-Star by his sophomore year, the expectations on the No.1 pick are sky high. But Draymond Green and Paul George think otherwise.
Green recently sat with George to discuss the league’s intricacies and it’s supposed poster boy. The talk of the town has already gained tremendous attention from fans around the world.

Green was part of “Podcast P with Paul George” to discuss the generational prospect. Interestingly, both the superstars agreed on what they feel Wembanyama’s future is going to be in the NBA.
“I think in the beginning its gotta be some type of struggle,” George said. The Golden State Warriors forward seemed to agree, “I think people are setting him up for failure.” He followed that up with stronger statements saying, “It’s hard to become an All Star in this league,….I think he’ll be special but All Star next year is a bit much.”
Green, however, explained what sets Wembanyama apart from others. “Him as a rim protector….him as a rim protector is as elite as we have in the NBA.”
George mentioned “it’s a unicorn. It’s a rare area that he’s in” describing players of Wembanyama’s size and their position in the NBA.
The discussions surrounding the No.1 pick have been prevalent ever since he was identified by NBA scouts. But what makes Wembanyama so exciting?

Besides, Wemby is already seen as the face of the San Antonio Spurs franchise, which boasts of big names like Tim Duncan and David Robinson in their history.
