Phoenix Suns lost to the New York Knicks 139-122. Jalen Brunson’s heroic 50 points dominated the headlines. The Knicks improved their season record to 14-10 with the win. For the Suns, Kevin Durant led the fight with 29 points. Devin Booker added 28 points and Jusuf Nurkic tallied 21 points. With the loss, the Phoenix Suns couldn’t help their record deteriorating to 13-12.

Besides statistics, records, and the Brunson blitzkrieg, the injured lineup of the Suns is in the discussion again.

Bradley Beal hit his heel again and twisted his ankle as he hit DiVincenzo’s foot while landing on the floor. He stayed in the game for some time and even went for a free throw before he left the game agitated. The foul was upgraded to flagrant 1 as the officials reexamined DiVinceenzo’s carelessly stepping under the feet of Beal. Now, his teammate, Drew Eubanks, is not happy.

Drew Eubanks laments Bradley Beal’s injury

Commenting on the same the Suns star Drew Eubanks said,

“I felt like it kind of took the air out of the arena a little bit just because we just got him back”. He added, “We got off to a pretty decent start offensively and for him to twist his ankle bad, it’s a gut punch. We’ve had to do it the whole year, so we’ve just got to figure it out. I think our problems are bigger than who we don’t have out there. So we just got to shore that up in practice.”

It was only the third game for Bradley Beal after missing 12 games in a row. Earlier, he had to battle with lower back issues before the heel injury setback. Bradley’s injury alone is not the cause of worry for Eubanks and Suns fans.

The injury woes of the Phoenix Suns

It was the only second time that Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, and Kevin Durant played together. The injury list of the Phoenix Suns is long. Ten players missed at least one game this season. Except for Jusuf Nurkic and Jordan Goodwin, all Suns players missed games.

Injuries did bring the Phoenix Suns to this stage. Is the lady luck not smiling enough on the Suns? Kevin Durant doesn’t believe that.

After the game, Durant had these words to dispel the ‘bad luck’ notions. Durant said, “That’s a part of it. Brad will be back. Great training staff. We got support behind him. He’ll be back out there but you think we got bad luck? I don’t believe in that.”
