The Oklahoma City Thunder are traveling to play the Portland Trail Blazers with the exciting news that Isaiah Hartenstein has recovered from his injury. The all-purpose center who missed five games with a calf injury officially removed himself from the injury report to play with the team on their upcoming two-game road trip. Despite unclear start status or rotational limits, Hartenstein provides essential frontcourt support to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
In his 24 games this season, Hartenstein’s been on another level, putting up career-best numbers: 11.8 points, 12.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.3 blocks per game. Yeah, he’s been a force. With OKC coming off a tough 121-115 loss to Dallas, having him back could be exactly what the team needs to bounce back strong.
Several players on Oklahoma have suffered setbacks with their injuries. A sore right knee injury has knocked Lu Dort off his court duties. He will miss game two in the season after only one previous absence but it brings significant damage to the team. Dort plays the dirtiest defensive game because he dives after loose balls while shutting down opponents’ guards with his defensive focus. Through seven games his statistical performance includes nine-and-a-half points while blocking 4.3 rebounds per match and creating one defensive stop.
