An unmatched battle; one on life support, the other running with high strides. Yes, that’s how it plays out when the Atlanta Hawks take on the New York Knicks tonight. As the 8th-seeded team in the East, the Atlanta Hawks cannot kick back and relax yet. There’s still work to be done for them in this regular season. While a playoff spot is probably out of reach, locking up their spot in the Play-In tournament will still be something Trae Young and company will have on their minds. But can they?
It is easier said than done for them, given their last 10-game win record, which reflects poorly on them if compared to the next two teams, the Bulls and the Heat. To avoid further slip, stars like Trae Young will need to be at the top of their games. However, injuries to their squad still have the potential of ruining their chances for a postseason. So let’s analyze the Hawks’ injury report and see how they are doing on that front ahead of their game against the Knicks.

Atlanta Hawks Injury Report – Will Trae Young play against the New York Knicks?
Trae Young has struggled with tendinitis in his right Achilles tendon for quite a while now. But that hasn’t stopped him from averaging 24.7 points a game for the Hawks this season. And his team needs him more than ever now, with only 6 games left for them in the regular season.
Hawks fans, you can count on Trae Young to keep doing his thing against the Knicks tonight. Young is listed as PROBABLE on the injury report. But you probably (see what we did there?) already know that this is the way it’s been for a while now with Trae.
However, don’t count on Clint Capela, Kobe Bufkin, Jalen Johnson, Larry Nance Jr., or Jacob Toppin to be there. They are all OUT of the Knicks game. None of these players will return for the Hawks in this regular season except Jacob. Why? Well, he’s yet to make an appearance for them this season. So it wouldn’t exactly be a return now, would it? But yeah, we weren’t kidding about the Hawks needing Trae.
But that’s it for the Hawks as far as their injured personnel go. To be frank, they’re better off compared to their opponents, the Knicks. They might be without Jalen Brunson against the Hawks in their upcoming game.
But who might Quin Snyder play to exploit an injury-riddled Knicks? Let’s see.

With all of their starters healthy, the Atlanta Hawks are very well poised to win this game tonight. More so than the Knicks. They will struggle against the Hawks without Brunson. Especially with Atlanta being hungrier to get the win during these last few matches. Their postseason hangs in the balance after all.
But what do you think? Will the Hawks get a step closer to the playoffs, or will the Knicks get their 49th win of the season against Atlanta?
Have something to say?
