But, in reality, Tim Hardaway Jr., son of Miami Heat legend Tim Hardaway Sr., has had his fair share of off-court controversies involving his ex-girlfriend. Especially, the one with the former NY Knicks coach, Derek Fisher. While the star guard working his way up the ladder representing the Detroit Pistons, let’s take a look at Hardaway Jr.’s dating life and past flings.

The veteran guard, apart from carrying his father’s legacy, has also kept himself floating in the league for 12-long-season. While everyone that Tim Hardaway would continue with the Mavs, especially after their trip to the 2024 NBA Finals, the team sent him to the Pistons. The trade irked Hardaway Sr. and he hit back at Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, questioning their leadership. What was Tim Hardaway Jr’s controversy with Derek Fisher?

Derek Fisher, the former NBA player, isn’t someone new to an off-court controversy. Yes, we are talking about his situation with his former teammate, Matt Barnes, and his estranged wife, Gloria Govan. In 2015, two ballers allegedly got into a physical altercation after Barnes found out that Fisher was his Govan. This off-season act forced a two-game suspension for Barnes. Notably, Fisher married Govan in 2021.

Nevertheless, coming back to the subject, Tim Hardaway Jr. almost faced a similar situation to Matt Barnes during his sophomore year. ESPN’s Brian Windhorst went on TrueHoop podcast and speculated a controversy. He said, “Correct me if I’m wrong, Kevin [Arnovitz], but Tim Hardaway Jr. had to go on the record to discuss whether he and Derek Fisher were involved with the same woman. I’m fairly certain he had to go on the record and said he had to deal with that. So it wasn’t just Matt Barnes.” 

While there isn’t clarity on Hardaway’s girlfriend then, Windhorst made the affair bluntly public after tagging former star Barnes in his sentence. Nevertheless, the star guard denied the speculation, saying, “I’ve seen those. No reaction over here. I know all those are lies. They are going to do whatever they can, especially here in New York (with the media). So I am not even worried about that. I had a talk with my girlfriend. If you ask me, it is not true at all. I am completely positive with her judgment and what she said.”

However, in the very next season, the Knicks traded Hardaway to the Atlanta Hawks, triggering a lot of speculations. Notably, the star baller seemed to have moved past that girlfriend and is currently dating someone else.

Who is Tim Hardaway Jr. dating? Does he have a girlfriend in 2024? 

While there wasn’t any clarity on who Tim Hardaway Jr. dated during his sophomore, a report revealed that he dated a woman named Kylie Bossie around the same time. Moreover, the couple seemed to have parted ways in 2017, three years after they began dating. Apparently, the couple seemed to have deeply invested in each other, as they shared pictures on their social media. 

Following that, Hardaway dated a woman named Jazmyn in 2019 and the couple reportedly even got engaged. However, the engagement didn’t materialize into marriage as they parted ways in 2020. Moreover, around the same, the baller was speculated to be involved in a romantic relationship with Poly Ferfel, a model. Notably, Ferfel was previously in a relationship with NFL star Odell Beckham Jr.

Nevertheless, there isn’t any clarity on the baller’s current relationship status but as of January 2024, Hardaway dated a woman named Andrea Wilson, but they have not made it official yet. So, as of now, we aren’t sure about the baller’s relationship status. However, on the other hand, we know for a fact that the baller is dealing with a grave injury after he was escorted to the locker room in a wheelchair. 

During the Pistons’ 2024 NBA Cup opener against the Miami Heat, Hardaway took an elbow on his head, a knee to his head, and also slammed his head on the floor in the third quarter.
